About The Hop Station
On Walsall Wood Rd opposite the Coop, The Hop Station is a pub with a walk-in setup and no booking needed. The bar runs handpulled real ales alongside lagers, ciders, wines, and 0% alcoholic drinks, and cobs are made fresh each morning. A dartboard sits free to use, and a big TV shows sport for anyone dropping in. The entrance is step-free and wheelchair-accessible, useful for visitors with mobility needs, and outdoor seating supplements the indoor space for those who prefer to sit outside. Dogs are welcome, with treats and water provided at the bar. It opens daily, and parking is available outside, though it can be limited when the pub is busy.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the real ale, praising the range of handpulls and the freshness of the beer, with the citra, Ludlow Gold and a Belgian cherry beer named specifically. Close behind is the welcome, as many describe friendly staff who know what they are serving, a community feel and regulars who chat and laugh. Several mention the food too, including cobs made fresh the same morning, a ham cob and steak and Caribbean nights. Others note the free dartboard, a big TV for sport, outdoor seating, and treats and water for dogs. Larger, cider, wine and 0% drinks are also mentioned for those who are not ale drinkers. The one practical caveat comes from a reviewer who says the parking outside can be limited when busy because it sits on a row of shops. One reviewer adds that guests they bring return even when closer pubs are available, and another says the glass is never empty for long.

“Incredible local gem in Aldridge! I had a brilliant evening at Hopstation in Aldridge. The warm, welcoming atmosphere isn’t accidental, it’s clearly been built over years by dedicated management who really care about the place. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, always checking that you’re happy and making sure your glass is never empty for long. They’ve got a great selection of drinks, from well-kept ales to all the usual favourites. There’s a free to use dartboard if you fancy a game, and a big TV perfect for watching sports (definitely World Cup ready!). The outdoor seating is also really nice when the weather’s good. Best of all, it’s a proper friendly local; good people enjoying a drink with zero trouble. Exactly what a great pub should be. If you’re in Aldridge, do yourself a favour and pop in. You’ll be glad you did!”

“Cobs are amazing made fresh on the same morning too. Couldn't fault the staff in this place a real friendly community type atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Vast array of ales available and lagers and cider also available too. I recommend the citra nice and refreshing.”

“This is a lovely run family bar, by far the best Barman is a lad called Noah, he's always nice when getting tips. He never spends that money he puts it towards buying his own house. Dave, loves him. So he's got a bright future.”

“This is the best pub in Lazy Hill and the Aldridge area, there is no pub like it!. From the location, selection of ales, the food and staff you cannot beat it. Every time we go there is a warm welcoming atmosphere with so many lovely punters. The staff are very knowledgable in what they are serving and cater to everybody. If you are not an ale drinker they have larger and ciders to offer. In addition selection of wines, prosecco, gins, vodkas anything you can think of they provide. Even 0% alcoholic drinks they provide. A dart board for entertainment for everyone. even if there are people playing they will welcome you to join in! Dogs are welcome they have treats and water to keep them hydrated. It very well kept and very clean, toilets are always spotless! Plenty of seating for the size of the pub inside and out. Hallie does some amazing window displays which light up the pub with excitement of new events that come. No matter when you go from when it opens to closing Monday-Sunday there's always people in there it's never empty. We have made so many new friends that we would have never have met if it wasn't for Trev opening this wonderful space. The steak and Caribbean nights are incredible if you haven't been I highly recommend! Supporting other local businesses in the area which other places wouldn't do. Trev and the team have the biggest hearts and couldn't do enough for you. There is parking outside but can be limited if busy as it is on a row of shops. We highly encourage you to visit its a place of happiness! There is no place like it in the walsall area, every person I take they go back even when they have closer pubs they would rather come 20mins from home to come to The Hop Station. 10/10 for everything, keep up the amazing work!”
