About Red Lion
On Station Rd in Walsall, the Red Lion is a pub and bar built around a selection of Black Country real ales alongside beers, lagers, and cider on tap or bottled, plus wine. Food stays simple, with crisps, chocolate, nuts, cobs, and the occasional fresh cob rather than a restaurant menu. Seating out the back offers a spot for outdoor drinking, and dogs are welcome throughout. The entrance is step-free, suiting visitors with mobility needs, and children are allowed on site though not in the bar area itself. There is no booking system, as this is a walk-in pub, and it opens daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers describe a good old-fashioned local boozer where friendliness is the main draw, with several saying everyone is made welcome and one claiming a stranger arrives and leaves a friend. Close behind is the drink: a decent assortment of beers, lagers and cider, Black Country real ales, and a nice pint of Guinness. Food is limited to crisps, chocolate, nuts and cobs, which one reviewer says are fresh. A few mention card players and a bar that suits groups of regulars, and one notes children are allowed but not in the bar area. The caveat comes from one reviewer who found the locals a bit too loud and cliquey, though still called it not a bad pint. Another says the building needs love and attention, while praising the landlord's kind heart. Regulars repeatedly describe it as their local, and the recurring closing note is a cob and a pint among people who feel like friends.

“Great little place to enjoy a pint or two...or whatever takes your fancy .. Friendly atmosphere and basically, just a good old fashioned drinking pub .. No restaurant, just bar snacks .. best of all .. no children running around annoying customers. Just to add .. children are allowed, but not in the bar area..😉”
