  “November 2025 First time at Hare and Hounds and we had the most wonderful time. Booked a table a month ago for their Sunday Roast but when we arrived this evening there was no record of our booking. All of the staff were very apologetic and went above and beyond to accommodate us elsewhere within the pub. There's a lovely homely atmosphere about the place and you can tell there's a nice mix of locals and newbies too. The Sunday Roast was delicious and the portion size was huge. After our meal we sat outside in the garden dome house which felt very festive and cosy with the pretty fairy lights. To further apologise for the mix up we were offered complimentary drinks whilst we sat out in the dome. Live music was playing inside which was also very pleasant. This pub isn't local to us but we would definitely visit if we were in the area again and can highly recommend. Thank you to Joanne and team for a wonderful evening 🙂”

  “We had our wedding celebration here on 26.06.2026 and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue. From the first enquiry right through to the end of the party, all the staff were fantastic and made everything run smoothly. The food was great, the beer garden is one of the best around, and the whole place had exactly the atmosphere we wanted for celebrating with family and friends. It’s our local and we’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this really reminded us why we love it so much. We even came back the next day to collect the car and couldn’t help staying for lunch! A perfect place for a special occasion or just a pint in the garden. Thanks again to everyone involved - we’d happily recommend it to anyone.”

  “Love this place, such a vibe to it! Atmosphere is great, stuff so friendly, good choice in foods and drinks and good choice were to sit. In weekends you might get some live music, wonderful.”

  “I only came here for a drink, as I have always wanted to visit this place because it looks so beautiful from the outside. I was really surprised by how busy and big the garden area is, as it looks small from outside. The atmosphere is great, with music and pleasant people, etc. I haven't tried the food here yet, but I definitely will, as it looks delicious and smells amazing. I will definitely visit again, as I think this will be my favorite pub to go to from now on.”

  “Went for pie night and honestly… I’m still thinking about it. Proper pies. Not those disappointing “lid on top of stew” situations that feel like a betrayal. These were the kind that make you pause mid bite congratulate yourself on this bring a good life choice. Great choice, all cooked well, and portions that don’t leave you eyeing up the nearest chippy on the way home. The gravy deserves a mention on its own!!! Atmosphere was spot on too. Busy but not chaotic, good vibe, and staff were wonderful. If you like pies (and if you don’t, I question your judgement), it’s well worth it. Will absolutely be back. Edit: added more pie pics coz why not?! Different visit and another great experience with beautiful food.”

  “To coin the phrase from the funniest review someone already left …. went here today with my current girlfriend 🤣🤣 It was absolutely rammed with 2 functions and the bank holiday masses. It was a long wait with an extended delay and some other issues but due to the absolute gem front of house it wasn’t an issue and it forced us to stay longer and enjoy the beer garden. oh no what a shame. Joanne is a credit to the owners who should be made to read this and give her a pay rise for her tireless efforts - amazing job woman thank you so much ☺️”

  “They serve plated meals in the pub but have a huge beer garden and heated marquee round the back where it's pizza and meal in a box. Food is mid range good quality, tasty and reasonably priced. Usually have Timothy Taylor's on cask which is top notch. Staff and service are excellent, table service for drinks. Plenty of big screens for match days.”

  “It's a pretty good pub. The food is tasty and varied. The waiters work quickly. Tables are clean, which of course is important. I ordered 2 glasses of wine and they turned out to be in streaks and on one glass there was something frozen, apparently some residue of old food. Maybe the dishwasher didn't clean the glass completely. It was unpleasant, of course. I had to drink the wine through a straw. Overall the atmosphere was good but it was VERY hot. There were a lot of people in the pub and there were no seats on the terrace outside, so we had to sit inside. I ordered 2 dishes but I had to go outside 3 times to cool down as I was very hot. I'd say it's pretty uncomfortable eating and sweating. It's a minus. The windows in the room only open half way and that is only the top small windows. Air conditioning as well, there's no air conditioning here. In general, I would give 4 stars with a stretch. But the food is good. I had lasagne and mix salad. The salad was good, but the dressing was incomprehensible, but the lasagne was good. My wife had the same salad and kebab, which was also quite tasty. A friend had a burger which was very juicy and tasty. In general, I could recommend this place but if you will be relaxing with a company or if there are a lot of people inside the pub, it is better to sit on the big terrace where there is VERY much space. You will be comfortable there. I ended up spending about £60 for 4 courses with 2 blkals of wine. I wouldn't say that's a lot considering the pleasant flavour of the food.”
