About Daisy's
Daisy's is a cafe on Reddenhill Rd in Torquay, just off the cliff tops, open daytime Monday to Saturday and closed Sundays. The menu centres on breakfast, with a Veggie Breakfast, Poached Eggs and a Sausage Egg & Bacon BAP among the dishes. The big breakfast plate brings bacon, sausage, egg, hash browns, mushrooms, baked beans and tinned tomatoes, and a small breakfast is also offered. Food is cooked to order, the toast is Warburtons, and tea arrives as a pot of tea for one. The owners serve customers directly.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what most reviewers come for, and the big breakfast draws the most comment, with several describing it as excellent, piping hot and cooked to order, and one praising the quality of the bacon. Reviewers also point to large portions, an extensive menu, quick service and friendly owners who make visitors feel at home. Some call it good value and one names it the best breakfast in Torbay. The picture is not uniform, though. One reviewer found the big breakfast tasteless, with flavourless bacon and sausages, tinned tomatoes and a pot of tea that was bland. Another described fried eggs cooked so long the yolks were hard, nearly burnt hash browns, low quality bacon and sausage, and a single slice of cheap toast, and felt the price was too high for what arrived. A grandparent who otherwise praised the home cooking noted there are no high chairs and no room for pushchairs. Even the critical reviewers called the staff friendly, and one added that the locals all seemed to like it.

“Had the big breakfast. It was tasteless, bacon and sausages were flavourless. Egg and Warburton's toast were the same. Mushrooms didn't do it for me. Baked beans seemed okay. Can't really go wrong with hash browns and the tinned tomatoes tasted exactly like they always do. There was no bonus choices like black pudding or some local delicacy. Choice of tea bags for the pot of tea for one.... Well it wasn't typhoo or Tetley. Bland as well. Maybe a 2nd bag may have helped. Cafe had no real personality. Staff were friendly. The locals all seemed to like it.”
