About Cafe one hundred
Breakfast leads the day at Cafe one hundred, a café on Union St in Torquay, sitting on a shopping street up the hill and away from the seafront. The menu runs from a small breakfast to a large full English, with bacon and egg served on thick cut toast or in a baguette, and drinks cover coffee and cappuccino alongside a pot of tea for one. No booking is needed, as tables are taken on a walk-in basis, and orders are taken and brought to the table. Seating is split between a choice of tables indoors and a few on the pavement outside for anyone who prefers to eat in the open air. A step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs, high chairs make room for families with young children, and dogs are welcome. The café trades daytime hours from Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays. Customer toilets are reached by a flight of stairs.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints center on the food. One reviewer found the sausages cheap and the bacon and mushrooms only warm in a large breakfast that felt poor value, and another said some breakfast items lacked flavour. One calls a full English vile and reports a steak pasty that was cold in the middle after microwaving. A reviewer who wanted a scone found none left late in the afternoon.

“Paid £10 for a large breakfast. Two bacon, two sausages, one toast, beans, mushrooms. The sausages were cheap, bacon was warm, mushrooms were warm. Not great value for the money. Atmosphere was lovely, staff were friendly, and the coffee was fantastic.”

“Popped into this little café for a mid-afternoon snack. It's away from the busy seafront, just up the hill from the main shopping area. The café is very clean, with a pleasing contemporary decor and a relaxed atmosphere. There's a choice of seating and a few tables on the pavement outside. The toilets, down a fairly steep flight of stairs, were also very clean. The couple who run the café were both friendly and helpful. They serve breakfasts, paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, and a few simple hot meals. I fancied a scone, but it was fairly late in the day and they had none left, so I had a buttered teacake instead, served with a pot of tea. The teacake was very fresh, and the tea was strong and hot. A nice little place to relax and enjoy reasonably priced refreshments away from the bustle of the main tourist area.”
