  “I booked a table the booking of the table was very easy on the website. As a wheelchair user the table was in the quiet area of the pub. Ordering of food was easy, not a long wait for food to arrive, food was hot and presented well. Staff were bubbly and friendly. Great food and atmosphere. Thank you”

  “We had made a reservation, but unfortunately someone was sat on our table when we arrived. The staff apologised even though it was not their fault and seated us straight away around the other end in the quiet area, which is lovely and very nicely decorated. The food was very good value and they went out of their way to give my son the last strawberries and make his pudding special for him. A good meal out.”

  “I literally couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. Big shout out to Taylor tonight for her friendly hospitality, fantastic service!! Nothing was too much trouble.. the atmosphere was amazing! It was so clean throughout the bar/restaurant and the toilets!! I hate how quick so many people jump on only leaving negative reviews! The value for money, for the meal we had was amazing and the food service was incredible too!! The perfect end to my birthday (I had been on a giraffe experience in paignton) and mum had been before!! 10000/10 we will be back, thank you to the whole team including chefs!! The best steak fajitas and Hugo spritz I’ve ever had!! I’ve worked in hospitality, before and never have I felt so welcomed from the meet and greet, to additional cocktail and menu information to the polite check back when we’d started our meal.. it’s so refreshing to see a team that want to be at work!!! If I lived closer I’d work here 10000% couldn’t be happier!! Thanks again Taylor.. you are all doing an amazing job!!! Huge thank you from Georgia and Della (mum and daughter) table 25 sat 18th 5:15pm Xx”

  “absolutely outstanding food and drink. went there with my uncle sean. it’s nice to see how good it is. since he sadly lost his beloved wife (my auntie joy) he visits her resting place -then goes over to the stonegallows. the gorgeous manageress is a lovely lady. and her waiting staff and kitchen team. i can’t recommend it highly enough when i visit my uncle. as i live in birmingham i really enjoy taunton. well done!”

  “Absolutely fantastic! We had the Steak Smothered Sizzler, and it was honestly the tastiest, most perfectly cooked steak I’ve had in a very long time. Every bite was full of flavour! The staff were amazing too! friendly, welcoming, attentive and incredibly helpful, making us feel looked after from start to finish. We’re working in Taunton at the moment, so we travel around a lot and eat out in plenty of places. This has genuinely been one of the best meals we’ve had. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and we’ll definitely be back whenever we’re in the area!”

  “Food was poor, staff actively walked away from the bar as I was trying to order and ignored me for 8 minutes. Only stayed as I was visiting the area and didn't know were else to go. Whole area stank of manure and they still opened all the windows. Wouldn't recommend.”

  “Walked in without booking. Found a table right away. Bar staff were lovely and very chatty. Our bar tender made me a beautiful!! Matcha. It was her first and she nailed it! Food rated 4*, mainly due to my grilled chicken not being cooked properly. It was ever so slightly pink and quite squidgy inside which put me off my dinner. Other than that, my husbands and children’s meals were finished and they thoroughly enjoyed them! Will look to return again! Well done team :)”

  “I have not been into Stonegallows for many years. Popped in for a quick meal and was impressed. Service was speedy and cheerful. Pub was clean and functional but a bit sparse and tired in terms of decor. Smaller tables now than previously limiting the possibility of hosting bigger groups of diners. Food was good and worth the money. I haven’t been to this pub since I left its employment many many moons ago. Greene King needs to put some investment into the pub to elevate it a bit. This pub was the flagship of the company years ago, two hr waits for tables and absolutely knocking the socks off most local pubs in terms of takings. Looks like there is a good team there now and the potential is huge.”
