  “Don't have a roast! Dreadfull. The meat was ok. Veg too hard to cut almost raw. Potatoes dry. Yorkshire pudding inedible only good for playing Frisbee!!! Cauliflower cheese fantastic. Cost £23 plus 10 % service added to the bill.”

  “A truly wonderful little pub/inn with fresh and delicious food. Their dedicated gluten free menu offers plenty options, the gluten free fish & chips was tasty and generous. The sticky toffee pudding also gluten free absolutely sublime! The staff are friendly, professional and very kind. Highly recommended!”

  “Lovely pub to visit. We were met upon entry by the landlady who was very nice. We were seated by a large fan due to it being 34 degrees outside🥵 The food on offer is of excellent quality & freshly made. We love a good salad and were recommended the Indian duck salad .. Wow 👍🏼👍🏼10 out of 10 the best salad I've ever had .. highly recommended 👍🏼”

  “Recommend booking a table as gets very busy and carpark was full. Meal was very good and served quickly. I had gluten free fish and chips and it was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to junction 15 on M4 just be careful turning into carpark as vehicles come quickly over the brow of the hill. Only real negative is dogs allowed where people are eating.”

  “We decided to stop in at The Plough on the Hill for lunch whilst out on a drive. The menu is varied and from our experience the food is really superb. We had ciabatta with olive oil and balsamic to start, then for mains I chose the pork tenderloin with polenta - utterly delicious - and my other half had the fish and chips, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service is quick and attentive, even when it gets busy, and I thought the price was really good for such a delicious lunch. Definitely worth a visit.”

  “Working away from home and living mostly off ready meals it was time for a week earned Sunday roast. I looked at a number of the local pubs before happening upon the plough on the hill. It was a little further out than the others but well with the journey. I'd advise booking by phone in advance just to be sure. Great food, good portion sizes, and the quality is fantastic. Friendly, fast service and enough parking space to not be a struggle”

  “My wife and I stopped in here top eat after a 10km hike, staff were really friendly and easy to talk to. They were happy to give us recommendations and we were glad we took them! We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely setting, not that inside didn't look nice and cosy too. Toilets were also clean and smelled fresh, which seems to be a rarity these days! We will definitely be back again and I would recommend the fantastic burger!”

  “We celebrated my husband’s birthday here. The food was very delicious and fresh. The mushroom parfait starter was amazing – compliments to the chef! The staff were friendly and kind. The only downside was that we had to wait quite a long time for the food, and especially for someone to regularly check on us and ask about drinks. Other than that, the pub is really nice and cozy.”

  “Wow food was delicious and beautifully presented. Being blessed with the restaurants and pubs in London, we are spoilt with food. This pub did not disappoint! Also dog friendly in the bar area with newly decorated interior. Would visit again in a heartbeat. Last time we visited it was two years ago, back then food was already great. Quality of the food remains high after all these years.”
