About Wichel Inn
The Wichel Inn is a pub on Frogden Rd in Swindon that doubles as a family restaurant, sports bar and pool hall, with a beer garden out back where dogs are welcome. The kitchen runs a Sunday lunch of roast meat, yorkshire pudding, vegetables and gravy, and the screens carry live sporting events for fans who want to settle in. Most months the team hosts karaoke evenings, and the pool table gives the room something to do between acts. It sits as a local that fits families, groups of friends and match-going regulars in one stop.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers praise the friendly staff, hot and well-cooked food, and the lively sporting and karaoke atmosphere. One diner calls the service brilliant and efficient, and several name individual staff members as standouts. Behind the praise, complaints surface: undercooked vegetables, cool Yorkshire puddings, a stale-smelling restroom, and one visit where a barman was unfriendly and refused hot water for a baby's bottle. Several also note reasonable prices.

“We visited for Sunday lunch with our 40% discount voucher. I cannot fault the staff or the cleanliness of the tables etc but the food wasn't great. The vegetables were nigh on raw and the yorkshire pudding was on the cooler side than I would have expected. Gravy was decent and the meat was nice and lean. The ladies toilets however absolutely stunk of stale urine, not sure if they have an issue that might need looking at.”

“The food is amazing always hot and cooked to perfection, the service is fast. the staff are so polite if there is ever an issue (how rare that may be) they will always solve it and make you feel welcome especially Alex. The atmosphere is amazing especially during any sporting avent they also host karaoke almost every month and it is a blast I would recommend going to the wichel Inn over anywhere else”

“Food was hit and miss, one of our party hardly ate anything. Not the same as the previous visit at all. Barman was a bit off, I think he thought he was funny. Asked for hot water for a baby's bottle and was told hot water not available. No kettle?? Left and found a more family friendly venue. Will never bother again! Avoid if you have young babies!”

“Always good portions, good food and friendly staffing team.”
