  “We had a party for my husbands 40th birthday, the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough, Debby the landlady was so kind and nothing was too much, she organised a Dj for us and he was fab! All our guesting had the best time x”

  “Came here to say for breakfast and excellent value for money! £5.99 for kids, comes with drink, yoghurt or fruit pot and fry up or pancakes. Quick, friendly and affordable. Definitely be coming back here again for breakfast!”

  “The Jovial Monk is what a community pub should be: welcoming, lively, and full of character. The real ales are always on point — you’d expect nothing less from an Arkell’s house. Nice for a quiet pint after work or settling in for a Sunday lunch with the family, there’s always a great atmosphere without it ever feeling overwhelming. live music nights, quiz nights, pool table, Sky Sports and a lovely small garden/patio when the weather plays ball. Kids and dogs are both made to feel welcome, which is a big plus for a family-friendly estate like Abbey Meads. Handy access to the A419 and M4.”

  “I have use the functional room for my birthday , and can't complain about anything. The owner or manager lady was very helpful and reply to every message. The place was nice and clean, food was good. 100 % will use in the future if needed , highly recommend. Had about 40 guest and everyone fits perfectly with sitting places and lots of room for dancing .”

  “Excellent burger, although at that price fries should be included! It's not like we're asking side caviar! Pub is a little small, it wasn't busy but for some reason there were quite a few tables available, but no chairs !”
