About Fox and Hounds
Fox and Hounds sits on High Street in Swindon, a village pub housed in a building described in reviews as a few hundred years old, with oak beams running through the interior. The kitchen turns out traditional pub food, including Sunday roast dinners and ham and cheese baguettes, while the bar pours cask ales alongside a range of lagers. Booking is accepted and honored on time, giving groups a reliable way to plan ahead. Dogs are welcome inside, making the pub a stop that fits walkers and locals travelling with their pets. The setting is tied closely to the village, and the room keeps the feel of a long-established country pub rather than a modern conversion.

“Never again will I step foot in this place . The owner was so rude , she definitely is not a peoples person, please do NOT expect a warm well because you definitely ain't getting one. The food service is unbelievably slow , I could understand if it was busy but nearly an hour to make 2 plates of food , I was stupid for even staying an ordering food I should of just walked out after the owner looked me up and down like I shouldn't of been in there , I was passing through and thought this might be a nice place just to grab some food and a drink, we'll how wrong was i . I should of just went to morrisons for a sandwich. 😅 would of got a better service. I also got the impression she doesn't really like young children from the way i heard her talking about kids to someone at the bar .”

“Stopped for a light lunch with my beautiful girlfriend. We had ham and cheese baguettes, and a pint. I had some onion in mine too. All enjoyed in the glorious English sunshine. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly. The pub was clean. All in all, very good. Would come back again.”
