Customer Review Summary
The large rear function room draws the most mentions, hosted for two wakes, a wedding party and a private event. Reviewers call it ideal and perfect for what they needed, and one praises an excellent buffet. Close behind are the landlord and landlady, described as friendly and welcoming, with helpful staff and an attentive bar team. Reviewers also mention good roast dinners, great food and beer, and a large selection of drinks. One reviewer praises a Jamaican food van in the car park and says to go check it out, and a band on one night out was called brilliant. The caveat centers on the main bar crowd. One wedding party reports customers from the bar consistently causing problems with guests and the owner being rude after the event. Another visitor walked in and straight back out over loud talking and foul language, calling it not a place for a quiet drink. By contrast, one reviewer who came for a wake says their children were comfortable and happy.
