About The Bridgend Inn
On Birchgrove Rd in Swansea, The Bridgend Inn is a pub with a big menu built around steaks and grills. Steaks include a 10 oz rump cooked to your liking and a T-bone, and the mains also take in a mixed grill and hunters chicken. Loaded chips sit alongside the grills as a side. The kitchen serves a slow-roasted beef lunch for those after a roast. Starters run from mozzarella sticks and chicken goujons to ardennes pâté, so a meal can begin with something light before the heavier plates.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the steak and grill dishes, with a T-bone, 10 oz rump steaks and a mixed grill all described as delicious or cooked to perfection. Close behind is the Sunday slow-roasted beef, which one diner says fell apart beautifully, along with the Land and Sea, hunters chicken, chicken goujons and Ardennes pate. Portions are repeatedly called huge, and several say the prices and the ultimate combo make them good value. Staff are consistently described as friendly, and one reviewer says the bar knows how to pour a pint proper. A quick, polite service and free WiFi also get a mention. The main complaint comes from one reviewer whose chicken curry half and half was overloaded with peppers and onions, with hardly any sauce, and tasted more like sweet and sour than curry. That diner found the chilli loaded chips only ok and preferred Bar141. Others close on the generous plates, with one noting the T-bone and Land and Sea left both partners satisfied.

“First time visiting last night, it was amazing. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. TBone steak was outstanding and the Land and Sea that I had was fabulous. Portion sizes were huge and well worth the money. Will definitely be visiting again”

“Called in mid afternoon for a beverage in passing, so can't comment about the food. Decent car park. Accessible building. Quick polite service. It had a well stocked fridge with a good variety to choose from. I'd not hesitate about going back there.”

“Great food, attentive and friendly service, always good vibes. Portions are big, the prices are great, and the ultimate combo is great value for your money! /And they also know how to pour a pint proper!/”

“Came for lunch, big menu. Ordered chicken curry half and half & a chilli loaded chips. Potions are huge. The chicken curry was overloaded with peppers, onions & hardly any sauce and it tasted more like a sweet and sour not curry dish. The loaded chips were ok. Unfortunately for us the food isn’t anywhere near as nice as the Bar141. We wouldn’t return here but will return to bar141.”
