Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast beef is the draw most reviewers return to, described as lovely and arriving hot and quickly, with two sittings and a short menu. Gluten-free diners report that a starter, roast and dessert were all catered for, and one coeliac reviewer calls it safe. Close behind, one diner rated the lasagne a firm ten alongside fresh garlic bread and chips. Others single out scampi, seabass with crispy skin, a raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake and Belgian waffles. Service earns repeated praise, including a bar worker pouring drinks and taking payment at once during a rush, and food came quickly even with a large party in. Families mention the well maintained children's play park and a riverside walk. The recurring complaint is vegetables. Two reviewers wanted more with their roast or turkey dinner, and one thought a relative's lamb looked chewy in places. One table asked for extra veg and found the second helping warmer than the first.

“Has always been consistently great with the food and service they provide. Having recently gone gluten free, they were able to accommodate a starter/Sunday dinner/dessert that were all gluten free. Would 100% recommend to anyone.”

“What a lovely place, with a warm welcome. It is very clean and feels cozy. The food was delicious, hubby had scampi and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed, I had lasagne, garlic bread and chips. We both said the chips were fresh and tasty. I mark lasagnes when we dine out and this was a firm TEN!, my garlic bread was so fresh, fluffy and very tasty. We certainly look forward to returning soon ❤️”

“Quite honestly, I love this place. I pass frequently on a Monday and never stopped until a few weeks back, now it's a regular Monday stop. Lovely food, great service and a decent price. Car park is big enough for everyone, children's play park outside that's well maintained. All in all a great pub run by great staff.”

“Superb Sunday roast lunch! There's only two sittings and no faff on the menu, but this means the food comes quickly and it's hot. REALLY impressed that gluten-free was available and safe for coeliacs. Lovely roast beef. We spotted another table had their desert as a takeaway, making the 2-course price brilliant, so we followed suit and could enjoy our various puddings at our leisure later.”

“Dog friendly and someone in the kitchen knows how to cook fish. Had seabass and it was cooked to perfection, crispy skin and soft juicy and succulent flesh. Would definitely go again.”
