Customer Review Summary
Weddings and large celebrations are the main draw, with couples and guests describing a back function room with plenty of space to dance and staff who handled short notice changes and answered every planning question. Food at these events earns praise, including afternoon tea with sliders, a hog roast and a buffet. Elsewhere, diners single out a fillet steak cooked to perfection, a dressed crab salad at Sunday lunch, and pizzas, chips and salad at an outdoor birthday party. The beer garden, undercover seating and patio heaters come up repeatedly, and one motorhome guest found the staff helpful. The complaints concern pacing and portions. At a group anniversary lunch the children were served last, starters from a preorder were forgotten, and dishes came out staggered so people ate at different times. The same reviewer found only one slice of beef on the Sunday roast, though the vegetables, potatoes and gravy were enjoyed. Another reviewer found service slow on a very busy Saturday night. One wedding guest remembered the evening pig roast as delicious.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our wedding venue! From start to finish, the planning process was fantastic. Everyone was so helpful and supportive, and whenever we had any questions, they were always just an email away and happy to help. On the day itself, everything went perfectly, and we had absolutely no problems at all. Everything ran exactly as it should, which meant we could relax, enjoy every moment, and make the most of our special day. We’re so grateful for all the help and support throughout the whole process and would highly recommend the venue to anyone planning their wedding. Thank you for helping make our day so special!”

“Attended a wedding here, it was in the room at the back of the inn, just perfect for a wedding venue, plenty of room to dance. For evening food there was a pig roast, delicious. Didn't stay here so not able to comment on the rooms”

“Went to The Fox Inn as part of a wedding celebration. Beautiful pub in a beautiful quiet location. The outside had so much seating, lots of undercover areas and nice patio heaters 👌🏼 I can’t comment on the rooms, but the function room was decorated beautifully. The buffet was really nice, and the staff were brilliant and helpful.”

“We had our wedding here on 3rd September and I just want to say how fantastic Vicki and Lucy are. From the moment we booked our first viewing, the communication was flawless. They both accommodated changes in such short notice and were available all throughout the big day. They really made wedding planning that much easier. The venue itself is lovely, really fit our chilled vibe. All of our guests commented on the location and how lovely it was. I would also like the mention the food, it was INCREDIBLE, we went for afternoon tea and hog roast. The afternoon was plentiful and tasty, especially those sliders, brides favourite. I would absolutely recommend anyone getting married here”

“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our wedding festival than The Fox Inn at Stourton. What we asked for, we got and then some! Vicki, Nick and Jack were amazing from start to finish and genuinely couldn’t have done more to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing and the whole team pulled it out of the bag on the day. Everything came together perfectly and our wedding was everything we’d hoped for and more. Our guests still haven’t stopped talking about it. We can’t thank you enough for making our day so special. We wouldn’t change a thing!”
