  “I hired a semi-private area for my parent’s wedding anniversary. I was so impressed with the care and service both before and during the party. The drinks and food were lovely as usual, but what really made it special was the atmosphere and attention from the staff and hosts. Thank you!”

  “We hosted my daughter’s 9th birthday party here and it was amazing! The private Wicked screening with themed food throughout was such a fun and unique touch. The theming was spot on and the kids were completely immersed. The party organiser was lovely and made everything so easy—we felt really well looked after. The children all said it was the best party they’ve ever been to! I’d highly recommend this venue to anyone.”

  “Absolutely incredible wedding venue! As a Bridesmaid/Guest from the moment we arrived at The Hub on Verulam, everything felt so special. The venue itself is stunning, beautifully decorated, spacious and such a lovely atmosphere throughout the whole day. The staff were amazing - friendly, organised and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic, the service was seamless and every little detail made the day feel perfect. It was honestly one of the best weddings I’ve been to in a long time. Such a beautiful place to celebrate with family and friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue in St Albans!”

  “We just had our wedding at the hub and it was genuinely the best day we’ve ever had. Emily and her team went absolutely above and beyond to make it the most special day possible. It was stress free and we had so much fun. I have to say thankyou to the kitchen staff too because the food was incredible. Our day genuinely wouldn’t have been anywhere near as special as it was if it wasn’t for the team at the hub. So thankyou team, you guys are the best ❤️”

  “We booked The Box Bar and Box Cinema for my daughter's hen do. There were some initial problems with communication and unavailable dates, etc., but Events and Membership Manager Rhiannon was unfailingly patient and helpful, offering alternatives and different options, until we had a package (cocktail making and karaoke) with which we were happy. The Box Bar was somewhat small (there were only 7 of us) and, on a cold and drizzly day, very warm, possibly because it is quite near (above?) the kitchens. I can't imagine what it would be like on a warm summer day - aircon definitely needed! The cocktail making was amazing. Our teacher, Kelvin, was patient, informative, friendly, fun and brilliant at adapting recipes to dietary requirements and allergies. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The Box Cinema is very plush, almost with a gentleman's club vibe, and the karaoke was fun. We'd certainly consider booking The Hub again for an event.”

  “We had our wedding reception at the Hub earlier this month and we couldn’t recommend it more! Emily in events was super helpful and made sure the day came together as we hoped and made it stress free. All the staff on the day were so friendly and fun. Our DJ also commented how great the staff were to him too, compared to the many other venues he has worked at and he’d love to play there again. The space itself has a unique, chilled out vibe with quirky spots like cinema rooms and a mezzanine which you can do what you want with on the day (we had a casino and the kids & oldies took over the cinema). You don’t need to spend anything decorating it as it’s already lovely. The food and drink was great and loads of our guests of different ages have said what a great venue it was!”

  “Came here for the toddler cinema screening in the Terrace Cinema and I have to say I loved it, what a little gem. The woman who was managing the screening was super lovely. We were the only ones who got tickets to the screening so was more like a private screening. She accidentally started the film 15 mins into the movie but once we realised she gave us the remote and let us rewind to the beginning. The tickets are great value- £8 each including a hot or cold drink. The hot chocolate was great. Would love to return.”

  “Absolutely fantastic place for a Sunday roast! We enjoyed every last bit of our experience and meal. We all ordered something different — chicken, beef, and pork — and every roast was delicious. We definitely didn’t leave feeling hungry. The staff were welcoming, lovely, and very attentive throughout. It’s also a great spot for children, with plenty of space so it never feels cramped. The kids’ menu has excellent options, and the boys loved their meals. I even tried the chicken tenders myself and wished I’d ordered my own bowl! We’re really looking forward to returning again soon.”

  “We had our wedding reception at the Hub on Verulam in November 2024 and it was a day to remember. Emily and the events team were so accommodating to every weird and wonderful request we had, all of which came to life perfectly on the big day. All communication was clear and very responsive so there were no surprises at all. Many of our guests have commented on the quality of food and cocktails, the venue and most importantly - how much fun they had. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hub and Emily to others, and can't wait to come back to what is now a very special place for us. Thank you!! Jack & Amanda”
