  “Great fish and chips! Friendly staff, always helpful - fish is always thick white flakey quality fish. Cannot go wrong here. One note, chips are nearly always soggy so it would be good if you can serve in cardboard boxes instead of paper so it doesn't all 'sweat' while getting it home. add the 10p per box onto the chip price for good chips! But your shop is awesome, best fish in the area (please dont ever change your fish quality as it what makes me drive over for it). Top job guys :-)”

  “Me and my partner go here every couple weeks. The food is phenomenal, the chips are the best ive ever had, the kebab is always cooked to the perfect level, never dried out and never too floppy. We had to try a couple different places recently because of travel, and i couldn't even finish it, Markyate fish bar has ruined other fish and chip restaurants as they are too good. The staff are always friendly and professional. I see some comments about the price on here, but what you pay for is quality, and thats why we keep going back.”

  “So why not 5 stars? Cost. It's a great little chip shop with consistently good food. Prices are competitive but everywhere has put prices up. I just hope that places like this don't price themselves out of the market.”

  “Really amazing cod and chips. Fabulous piece of cod. Great big flakes perfectly cooked to that point where it’s almost undercooked so that it doesn’t get dried out. Nice crispy batter, lovely fat chips and the right kind of vinegar. I’ll definitely be coming here again !”
