Customer Review Summary
Samosas are the draw at this Smethwick shop, with reviewers praising the vegetable version for its flaky, crisp pastry, fresh green peas and whole spices, alongside a lovely chutney. Chicken and lamb samosas, sheesh kebabs and garlic and butter naan come up close behind, and one reviewer describes the naan as nice and soft. Paranthas, sweets and sabzi also get a mention. Several reviewers order in bulk for school events, office birthdays and home parties, and one made the trip from Tamworth twice. The recurring caveat is the wait: samosas are fried fresh, the shop can get busy at lunchtimes, and one reviewer suggests ringing beforehand. One reviewer finds the shop dated and in need of a refresh, and another, who otherwise liked the samosas, wished the owners would smile a little. Others describe the people running it as friendly and polite. One buffet order arrived hot, with the delivery time communicated, and was not too oily or greasy.

“Lifesaving spot. I used to live close by so I would always stop by for garlic and butter naan; life was beautiful. Then I moved and sought after another precious spot and let’s just say I’ve had terribly unbelievable naan and samosas: from hair crushed on garlic naan sold pricey, to naan baked in salt. I literally had to run here right before they closed and let’s just say they’ve restored my faith in Asian food again. Wild cause now I have to come all the way to Sagar from wherever I am for some naan and samosas.”

“Good selection of savoury snacks, Really good samosas, freshly fried so might take a longer time Nicely seasoned with green peas which taste fresh. I like the whole spices, occasional whole coriander seeds that gives that authentic Indian street food taste Lovely chutney Can get busy at lunch times so best to go before or after Ordered 200 samosas for our school event and people were complementing the taste and asking for the address. Wish they could deliver as we would definitely order on regular basis if it was a bit closer.”
