About Vincent's Restaurant

Cooked breakfasts at Vincent's Restaurant are made to order, so the kitchen will leave out anything you do not want or move it onto a baguette instead. The cafe and breakfast restaurant sits on Elmwood Drive in Skegness, a little off the main road, with parking at the rear. Breakfast comes with a mug of tea, and the wider menu runs to sandwich baguettes and a Sunday lunch that includes roast beef. Meals arrive by table service, and booking ahead is advised. Tables and chairs inside are spaced with room to move between them, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. A step-free entrance keeps the room reachable for visitors with mobility needs. The garden holds further seating for anyone who prefers to eat outdoors, and dogs are welcome. The doors open daily.

Customer Review Summary

The cooked breakfast is what brings most diners back, praised for bacon, Lincolnshire sausages and fried eggs done properly, portions described as belly busting and not greasy, and a proper mug of tea alongside. Close behind sit the Roast Beef Sunday lunch, called quick and nicely cooked, and the fish, which one visitor rated the best ever eaten. Cleanliness comes up repeatedly, from spotless floors to clean cutlery and condiment bottles, along with well spaced tables and garden seating. Value and generous portions draw steady comment, with one guest wishing for slightly bigger plates. The complaints are pointed rather than frequent: one reviewer reports overcooked frozen veg with stalks left on and string in the meat, saying it was taken away without an apology, and another found the baguettes pale and falling apart. A weekend visitor also found the kitchen muddled and the bacon anaemic and fatty. Several note the staff happily swapped out an unwanted breakfast item and put it in a baguette instead.

“Poor food frozen over cooked veg . Veg still had storks on an string still on the meat nearly choked I took the string took and stork to the girl serving she took it straight in the back no apology no nothing disgusting that they couldn't even apologise.waited at the table for 10 mins to see if they would send an apology but nothing poor customer service too.”

“Great food, service, cleanliness, value and ambience. Slightly bigger plates would be useful for the large portion sizes. Highly recommend.”

“Basic nosh at basics prices. I don't mean that disparagingly. A posh nosh candlelit, inglenook cottage it isn't. But what they do, they do well. Inside is clean and tidy. You can also sit outside in the garden. Tables and chairs are spaced nicely apart. Seriously, your not sat by a toilet door or kitchen serving hatch. You actually have room to move. That alone is bloomin awesome. Don't expect fancy lace tablecloths and fresh flowers on every table. But you do get clean tables, clean cutlery. Condiments that haven't got 6 weeks drippage down the side. The floor is clean. How often do you see food left all over the floor by errant children or babies. Not here, spotless. Then the grub. Not super fast fast food. But cooked food thats hot and a proper mug of tea. I'm fussy when it comes to my cooked breakfast. It's the aged lorry driver in me. This was cooked just right. From bacon to Lincolnshire sausages everything was spot on. Fried eggs are normally so bad I have other places scramble them. Not here...cooked properly like my nan used to do. And all for less than a McDonald's. I think this is our new favourite brekky stop when we are that end of town. I'd just like to add a big thank you to the staff for being attentive and so caring about what they do. And also apologies for not trying the crumble. My absolute favourite is hot crumble and ice cream. But after that breakfast I couldn't eat anything else 😂”

“Fantastic prices for a very good portion! Kept us going all day. Just what we needed! My fussy eater even managed to finish his food once he had decided exactly what he wanted”
  • Julie Diamond
“Lovely friendly cafe little bit off the main road but well worth the walk. Staff were lovely, food was delicious and generous portion sizes. Shame we found it on our last day, would definitely visit again if in the area.”
