About Cosy Corner Cafe
Breakfast anchors the menu at Cosy Corner Cafe, a cafe and restaurant on Roman Bank in Skegness. The full English comes in sizes including medium and large, with the medium arriving with toast and preserves, and three-egg omelettes sit alongside it. Lunch runs from the same menu, taking in scampi and liver with mash and veg, while Sundays bring a roast served as two or three courses with beef and vegetables. Milky coffees, hot chocolate and fresh orange juice cover the drinks side. Payment is cash only, so bring notes or coins rather than a card. Guests are seated on arrival and a menu is brought to the table, and booking ahead is recommended. The team will tweak orders to preference, including for children, and high chairs make things easier for families with young children. A step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs, dogs are welcome, and outdoor seats are there for eating in the open air. It opens Tuesday to Sunday, daytime only.

Customer Review Summary
The full English breakfast anchors nearly every account, described as cooked to perfection, plentiful, and arriving fast even when the room is full, though one diner would have preferred a proper sausage over what they called a tasteless catering one. Close behind sits the Sunday roast, with one party calling the beef juicy and tender and the vegetables fresh, and several noting portions that left them unable to move. Also singled out are the three egg omelette, the scampi, the liver with mash and veg, the hot chocolates, and the milky frothy coffee served piping hot. Staff draw steady praise for being welcoming and willing to amend orders, and one family returning four times in a week credits small tweaks made for their three year old. The cash only policy prompts the clearest grumble, with one reviewer wishing cards were accepted and warning that the cash machine by the corner shop charges a withdrawal fee.

“We don't normally leave reviews, but Cosy Corner Cafe genuinely deserves one. Me, Kasha and our son Theo ate here four times in one week, which says everything about how good it is. We love fresh, home-cooked food with plenty of fresh vegetables, and every single meal we had was excellent. Between the three of us we sampled around a quarter of the menu, and with so much choice available there are still plenty of dishes we'd happily go back to try. Not one meal disappointed. The portions were generous too, especially the amazing three-course Sunday roast! 🤣 What really made this place stand out was how friendly and accommodating the staff were, especially with Theo. He's 3 years old and can sometimes be a bit funny about eating out, but he absolutely loved the food here. He cleared every plate, never questioned or rejected anything, and even asked for more on several occasions! The staff were more than happy to make small tweaks to his meals, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was outstanding, and the food was consistently excellent every time we visited. We'd highly recommend Cosy Corner Cafe to anyone looking for proper home-cooked food and genuinely friendly service. I honestly doubt you'll be disappointed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Visited skegness for the day, decided to go hear for breakfast because of all the positive reviews on Google. We all wish we didn't. Ordered fried egg bap, came in a burger bun and the eggs had a weird texture to them, didn't enjoy it at all. My son's ordered chocolate milkshakes, with one of them saying it just tasted like chocolate water. The place itself wasn't very engaging, seemed dark and dusty, the door wide open, flies coming in and landing on food that had been left on tables as well as hovering around us. The lady at the till was nice though and welcoming.”

“What a lovely find by google, we had a lovely size medium breakfast each, came with toast and preserves. Plenty on the breakfast. We didnt eat preserves. Had a lovely milky frothy coffee, Tony had a coffee white, both had fresh orange juice as well. Owner & staff were lovely & friendly, quick service. Lovely & clean place, thank you so much, we will be back next year 😀 xx”
