About Hideout Café and Bar
Set in the gardens near the clock tower, Hideout Café and Bar is a café and bar on Grand Parade in Skegness with an on-site pizza oven turning out pizzas alongside the counter menu. Costa Coffee hot drinks and pots of tea come from the same counter, where the team also serves cakes in flavours including chocolate orange and Jammie Dodger, plus ice cream by the single scoop if you want to take it away and eat elsewhere. Seating splits between an indoor area and tables in the garden part for outdoor dining, and dogs are welcome to join you there. High chairs make room for families with young children, and a step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs. The kitchen opens through the week apart from Thursdays, and booking ahead is advised. Freshly made panini and baguettes round out the food offering.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza draws the strongest praise here, with one reviewer calling it the best they had had in a long time and another singling out the pizza oven it comes from. Cakes follow close behind, with the rhubarb and custard, the Jammie Dodger and a chocolate orange slice all named by different visitors, alongside freshly made paninis, one filled with chicken, pesto and cheese, plus baguettes and ice cream. Several describe the setting, a garden spot near the clock tower with views over the outdoor pool and outside seating, and dog owners note they were told their dogs were welcome indoors. Cleanliness and friendly staff come up repeatedly, as do generous pots of tea and the availability of soya milk. The only complaint raised is from one visitor who found the toilets a job to locate. Small gestures recur in the accounts, hot drinks arriving with a Biscoff biscuit, and a young child who ordered the wrong ice cream being allowed to swap it free of charge.

“Lovely cafe with views of the outdoor swimming pool and a trendy inside seating area. We called in for four ice creams, my 5yr old grandson ordered the wrong one and the staff allowed him to change it free off charge. Pots of tea are generous in size, the place is clean and the staff friendly, we’d definitely visit here again”
