About Edwina's Cafe

Breakfast drives the menu at Edwina's Cafe, a café on Sea Ln in Skegness, where the named Mega Breakfast anchors a cooked plate built from sausage, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms and beans. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and swaps or changes to the advertised breakfast items are taken when you order at the counter. There are no bookings, so customers walk in, and tables can fill at busier times. Payment is cash only, so bring notes or coins rather than a card. Outside tables give the option of eating outdoors, dogs are welcome alongside their owners, and high chairs make room for families with young children. The same small team cooks and serves, which keeps the operation straightforward. Opening runs daily through the daytime, and dinners and other meals sit on the menu beyond the morning fry-ups.

Customer Review Summary

The complaints are about the food itself. One reviewer describes raw sausage leaking water, greasy mushrooms and cold beans with lumps. Another says a breakfast promised as cooked to order arrived cold, and a third calls the premium sausages poor value. A visitor also notes paying for parking and having time left over after eating.

“We went at the right time as it was very quiet.. it was so wet and windy so people were probably waiting for the weather to change.. but i think the lady that served us was called Elaine or Lorraine and she was so lovely, friendly, smiling and i think she was on her own.. the food was tasty and we were served quickly. We had to pay for parking 80p which we paid for an hour but we still had 20mins left after we'd had our breakfast.. lovely lady lovely food 😍 and next time we visit the area we will definitely pop in again ( usually packed and no seats left.. but we will try 😍)”

“Breakfast was cold which when you are told when ordering it is cooked to order something must be terribly wrong when it is turning up cold. Just stay far away from this place and don't waste your hard earned money here on cold food.”

“Review of Edwina's Cafe: A Breakfast Gem! Edwina's Cafe delivered an unforgettable breakfast experience—one my family and I agree is the best we’ve had in over three years! The bacon and sausage were standout stars, cooked to perfection with rich, savory flavors. Even my son, who never finishes his breakfast, cleared his plate entirely—a true testament to how delicious everything was. The black pudding deserves special praise; it’s the finest we’ve tasted outside the Black Country (our hometown!), boasting that ideal balance of crispness and tenderness. Service was warm, attentive, and added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. If you’re craving a breakfast that feels like a heartfelt hug, Edwina’s is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back! 🌟”
