  “Celebrated our engagement here last night over a bottle of wine and many small plates - it was perfect! Everything we tried was delicious, creative, moreish and generous. Lovely presentation, stylish setting and super efficient and friendly service from staff. Try the cabbage, it's incredible. Very cool to be in such an iconic building too. Would highly recommend.”

  “I'm really not the kind of person to post a negative public review for a business, particularly during difficult headwinds for the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, I don't see any other choice because South Street Kitchen has ignored the email my partner sent to them trying to resolve things privately. We got Civil Partnered on 29 May and treated our witnesses to lunch here. I added a note to the booking to explain that it was our special day. The service we received was absolutely awful. The woman dealing with our table greeted every single part of our interactions with audible sighs and made us feel like we were a difficult group (4 adults and our two young children who did lead to a small amount of dithering). At one point she turned her back on us whilst we were still ordering and walked off. The food was great, as per usual, but the whole experience was negative when it should have been a noteworthy part of our special day. We're not primadonnas and don't expect special treatment, just a basic level of politeness and respect. The bad experience has been exacerbated by the restaurants failure to respond to my partner's complaint. It's a real shame because I now can't ever see myself coming back here.”

But by night, they host incredible themed bistro evenings-and their current Lebanese menu is a must-try! 😍 🥂 The Vibe We love catching up with friends here, looking out the massive windows over the green park views with delicious cocktails and wine. The entire menu is vegetarian, but it’s so packed with flavor you won’t miss a thing. The quality truly shines- everything is top-notch and made from scratch! ✨ 🧆The Food Here’s what we tried in the video: 🥯🍆🫜Khobz, Baba Ghanoush & Beetroot Chutney: A total highlight, the baba ghanoush was so smoky and delicious! 🥬Arnabeet Mekli: Crispy fried cauliflower with lemon tahini dip. 🥒🌶️Harissa Roasted Courgettes: With a kick of vibrant zhoug. 🧀Halloumi Fries: With a killer za'atar and agave chilli dip. 🧆Falafel: Golden and fresh with shirazi salad. 🍰 Dessert We tried both desserts, but the Lebanese-inspired baked cheesecake with agave glazed apricots completely blew us away.   “A great vegetarian and vegan restaurant that I have somehow have never been to before, but I was very impressed with the place. It is in a ground floor flat of the Park Hill estate, 2 minutes walk above the station, well signed from the station/tram stop. Lovely views over Sheffield, especially if you sit upstairs. Very friendly welcome and all the staff were friendly and attentive, great choice of vegetarian and Vegan food, which were clearly labelled. I chose a hummus plate (£13.00) and prana chai (£4.20), which was available as a vegan option. Both came promptly and were beautifully presented and very tasty. There was plenty of food and the plate included falafel, flat bread and 2 dips. The restaurant was very busy and is obviously a popular spot to meet friends and have a lovely meal. Highly recommended.”

  “Came here for breakfast. Really nice place with good food - great vegetarian / vegan selection. The portions could be a bit bigger but overall it was okay. Great location and nice atmosphere. Also dog friendly. Would recommend”

  “we’re repeat offenders( sorry customers) here. At least 1-2 times a month for girly catch ups with amazing food , or date nights on a Friday or Saturday evening. Vegetarian cafe with most meals able to be changed to vegan, highly recommend it to everyone. Highly recommend the spiced crispy potatoes or pea and mint smash on toast”

  “We’ve been coming to South Street Kitchen for a few years but always during the day. They have a great, vegetarian/vegan menu that even meat eaters will love and the coffee is great too. We finally booked one of their evening menus, which was Dumpling night, and it was SO good!! I’d highly recommend during the day and in the evening.”
