  “Had a lovely dinner on Saturday. Both steak and beef bourguignon were delicious, garlic broccoli fantastic. Staff is really friendly and helpful. The only downside is service is a bit slow, but it’s a busy Saturday so understandable.”

  “I visited Côte for a Christmas party with a group of sixteen, and overall it was a decent evening, though a few things held it back from being better. The staff handled a large group without any mix-ups, which I appreciated. The main downside was how slow the food came out. A couple of people were nearly finished before others had even been served, which took the shine off the experience a bit. My own meal was fine. The steak was cooked as ordered and tasted good, though the portion felt a little on the small side. Presentation was fairly plain. I had expected something a bit more polished based on Côte’s usual standard, but it came across as quite generic. The restaurant was extremely noisy, to the point where it was hard to hear the person next to me. To be fair, it was peak Christmas season, so some of that is to be expected, but it still made the meal feel less relaxed. One thing that really let the place down was the state of the toilets. They weren’t very clean and clearly needed more frequent attention, especially on a busy night. In short, an acceptable visit with good food, but the slow service, noise, and lack of attention to some details stopped it from being as enjoyable as it could have been.”

  “I enjoyed my food but we weren't as blown away as the other reviews. Certainly the people on the table who ordered the steak left feeling hungry still, and commented that it didn't come out cooked to their stated preference. The staff were bumbling around getting in each others way and bringing food to the wrong tables.”
