  “Was recommended the ploughman's as excellent, so we excepted, !! Came out in good time..one long crusty roll,if you have false teeth hang on as it's a tug of war..the salad was I'm sure from a mixed bag and not cut from fresh veg and a dribble of Cesar salad dressing on top,they do not tell you so please say if not wanted, some fresh sweet apple quarters on plate ,very nice..not sure about the gherkins should even have a place on the plate ,I would have preferred original chutney as there really a burger condiment or for the bin if you do not like them. Nice piece of ham ,and half a pork pie with a tasteless pastry. Pickl in a pot to add was nice...over all it was ok but was it worth the £13.+ Per person...”

  “Booked afternoon tea for our friends belated birthday celebrations and so glad we did! Lovely setting, great service and really enjoyable experience. Our friend had never been to the garden centre before, let alone the restaurant and she loved it! We had dietary requirements with a nut allergy, a fish allergy and someone not liking fruit scones so they substituted her scone with a cheese one, so kind! My afternoon try had to come separately as I have a nut allergy, see photo. We were topped up with tea, coffee and water, and the things we couldn’t manage to eat, they gave us a box to take home. Would recommend, and at £23 per person, I think it’s value for money and I would suggest that you book ahead!”

  “Lovely atmosphere - spacious, open, with lots of natural light. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and offered great customer service. The choice of food is excellent; scrumptious looking cakes, a wide range of hot and cold food and drinks, the salad is fresh, and the homemade bread is delicious. Hope to go back soon.”

  “Very lovely garden shop! Nice coffee and we try selection of cakes. All yummy and looks attractive. It would be perfect to sit here and enjoy a cup of drink and a piece of cake during sunny day! Very kind staff!”

  “My wife and I come here often for coffee, cake and snacks which are always very good. However, we were hungry on 23.3.26 and decide to have a main meal. We had a £16.95 dish of the day for lunch: pork loin, roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding. It was hugely disappointing. The pork was dry and chewy but the real problem was the potatoes and veg. The roast potatoes, parsnips and Yorkshire pudding were burnt to a crisp and should never have been served. See photo. The restaurant has well over 100 covers and is very busy. One chef and a young assistant are run off their feet, so food is hurried, but I can't condone serving the black potatoes and parsnips I was served. My wife didn't want a fuss so I didn't complain, but be aware, snacks are great, but if you want a cooked main course choose a quiet time.”

  “We have visited this lovely restaurant on a number of occasions. Today I treated my Mum to afternoon tea! We were presented with a beautiful selection of finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. Everything was fresh and the scones were so light! Just perfect! My mum thoroughly enjoyed it. We did bring few cakes back with us as we were both a little full 🙂 Staff were very attentive and professional and made sure we had everything we needed through out our experience. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends. We will be rebooking again soon Thank you to the team for making a memorable afternoon 😊”

  “It is our favourite place with my daughter. No matter of the weather we always can enjoy the beautiful flowers, trees and the wide selection of goods. The forefront of their mind is always quality first and that extends to the staff as well. They are very helpful and polite, also knowledgeable. They have a fantastic restaurant with delicious cakes and all sorts of yummy treats. For me the most important that it is fully accessible and from the parking to the loo, everything helps disabled people enjoy the experience just as any able bodied person. The only thing I wish they could change is keep open the kitchen longer as both me and my daughter are useless till about 2 o’clock and by the time we get there they stop serving warm food. I know this is a big ask but maybe not impossible to make it. In good weather there is an outdoor patio area to seat, and we can enjoy the birdsongs. They are also dog friendly, the first few tables are for guest with furry friends. Others can seat there too, but guests with dogs can’t go beyond.”

  “Went Sunday 23 November 25 lunchtime. Arrived at 1220 it was packed out and que for food and 35 min wait for food. I had potato & chorizo mash was tastey, my wife had breakfast bruschetta, over toasted and crust was un eatable os so hard. Grandchildren we ordered a jam sandwich @ £1.95, ONE slice of bread very over priced. You can see from photos how packed it was. So noisy and long waits.”

  “Soup bowl half full, but soup was lively. Chips are absolutely worth having. My son lived the burger and both of our hit drinks were the temperature you'd expect. Patient and polite staff and lots of food and cakes to choose from. Plenty of seating, not overcrowded and tables were cleared fairly quickly. It is quite noisy, but that's simply die to the space and hoe many people are in there talking. The roof is high so the sound travels and the music was a little bit loud. However, I've been plenty of times and keep going back.”

  “Came here for lunch in the summer and had some great food! Bombay aloo scotch egg was so nice! The range of foods on the menu are just really good. The staff weren't the happiest but we did go mid afternoon so they may have just been tired. Really good selection of cakes and patisseries and our selections tasted as yummy and light as they looked.”
