  “I had a fantastic meal here last Thursday evening. Turned up at 8.30 near to closing so appreciate it was late. Ordered soft shell crab, takoyaki, unagi, hamachi sashimi and dragon roll. The food was delicious. The hamachi was immense. So tasty and high grade texture. The dragon roll was massive! No complaints. The unagi was my favourite part of the meal as it’s my favourite flavour but overall the food was very very good. I would 100% go back again.”

  “Visited with my partner for his birthday on a Monday evening and was met with a beautiful atmosphere and attentive staff. Our meal was delicious, generous, and well presented. Plus a bonus birthday dessert, and all very fairly priced. This is a really lovely restaurant well worth visiting.”

  “We visited Mountain Spring yesterday evening for dinner. Living in Romsey, we’ve been wanting to take advantage of how quick and easy it is to get the train to Salisbury and to start trying the restaurants and pubs it has to offer. Based on great reviews, we chose Mountain Spring as our first restaurant choice and we couldn’t be happier. Despite warnings, we hadn’t booked so I would say we were just very lucky to have gotten a table. Next time, we will make sure to book ahead. To start, we shared a selection of sushi which was absolutely delicious. The salmon sashimi was particularly great. To follow, we each had a donburi - Gya Don and Chicken Katsu Don. Both were really tasty and overall, we felt like this was the perfect amount of food for us. We shared a small bottle of sake to finish and to drink had a beer and a soft drink. The total bill came to just over £60 which we think is fantastic value. We didn’t have cash on us (our mistake) so were unable to leave a tip - no service charge added, and no option on the card machine to add - so we will be making sure to have this with us next time! Thoroughly recommend - we can’t wait to come back. Thank you!”

  “Without a doubt the food was impeccable. I tried various items from the menu and found each utterly delicious. The tuna sashimi was delicate with incredible texture, the pumpkin fritters (I cannot recall the actual name) were delicious and the beef succulent and flavourful. What soured the evening was the very lacklustre service. We had two waitresses, one was nice enough although not especially attentive, the other was surly and spoke to us as if we ruined her day just by turning up (we had been polite and amiable throughout in my opinion). She brought two starters, then a couple of main courses, then another starter. When we timidly asked if this was how it was done here (similar to wagamammas) she said "if you ask for something fried it takes longer)". At the end I checked the bill; had there been an automatically applied service charge for the first time in my life I would have asked for it's removal. I appreciate wr all have off days but the customers don't need to be on the receiving end, we had been quite polite. Food for 3 came to around £90.”

  “We had never been to this restaurant before, despite walking past it many times, but decided yesterday to go in for lunch. I'm so glad we did, it was absolutely fantastic! The food was spectacular; tasty, authentic, filling and beautifully presented. The service was quick and efficient and we weren't left waiting for long at all. Our empties were taken away immediately as well which I always like to see. We will definitely be back, there are so many dishes on the menu that I want to try!”

  “This place is amazing, the sushi is insanely good and a really good price. The service is superb and the atmosphere is lovely. Honestly you have to visit here if you love sushi. It also seems very kid friendly with highchairs. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will back as loyal customers.”

  “We came here tonight for a meal- the food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes so generous and such good value for money. We had the katsu curry, the hellspicy beef ramen and octopus balls. All of which were outstanding. Service was faultless- will definitely be making the journey from the west midlands again to eat here! Thank you ever so much!”
