  “Wow! I was really blown away with this place. It was our first time here and did NOT disappoint. From start to finish, no joke everything and everyone was warm, kind and ever so comforting and accommodating. It honestly felt like a home away from home. From friendly smiles, top notch customer service and excellent food. They’ve worked out the holy trinity to make this place work! Y’all keep up the excellent work and i’ll be back!”

  “Wow. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants and tried plenty of seafood, but this has to be one of if not the best places I’ve been in Manchester for food, atmosphere, and service. The food was fresh, succulent, and full of flavour. I genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing. The service was just as impressive; our server was one of the nicest people I’ve met in hospitality. I didn’t catch his name, but his positive, happy attitude alone would make someone want to come back. A true 10/10. The restaurant itself was spotless, unique, and had great music playing. We left not long ago and have already told half our friends and family about it we can’t stop talking. This place is a must‑try for any occasion. It’s only a five‑minute walk from the train station, and I honestly never usually leave reviews, but I couldn’t not praise how good this place is. 1000/10 — can’t wait to be back.”

  “Got here around 9pm it was quite steady but we managed to get a good table. We went for the XXL Boil and Oxtail Soul plate. For a table of 5 it was perfect for us. The Boil itself was mouthwatering, truffle fries, Oxtail and creamy was also fantastic. Overall it was a great first experience to this cuisine. Although we had to ask multiple times for a jug of water and it took 20 minutes. Everything went well”

  “Phenomenal food and service ! The best king prawns & lobster tail I’ve ever had, the sauce is outstanding the seafood boil was everything we expected and more what an experience we will definitely be back, the take away containers you get for what you don’t finish are great too.”

  “Mama’s Soul Food Restaurant absolutely delivered! The food was full of flavour, perfectly seasoned, and tasted homemade in the best way possible. Every dish was fresh, generous in portion size, and cooked with real care. The staff were lovely too, really friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout. The atmosphere made the whole experience even better, and you can tell there’s real passion behind the food and service here. Highly recommend if you’re looking for proper comfort food and a great overall dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

  “Tried before when they were based at the ghost kitchen, I’m so glad they opened their own place. So much better to access, very nice spacious place. Food was really nice just how I remembered and cravings were satisfied! Friendly and very attentive staff. Definitely coming again.”

  “Great vibe! Food is so flavourful, portion sizes are insane as well I couldn’t finish it! The staff are lovely and attentive, especially with my allergies. definitely worth checking these guys out for great seafood! Will absolutely be coming back!”
