  “Food is awesome. Cutest little place on the corner of Highstreet and Esplanade. Needed a bite before touring the Rochester Castle. Haddock and chips wonderful. Hubby had the crab squid ink spaghetti. He loved it. Prices are reasonable.”

  “We walked in last Sunday and had a very good roast. The staff were friendly and the pub was very nice with a lovely view of the river Medway. We would definitely be back for another Sunday roast.”

  “Had our engagement party at the Royal Crown. First floor is a lovely, separate venue from the bar on the ground floor. Newly decorated and a great space. Tom and his team are great, kind people; fantastic bar service all round. Required some tweaks to run smoothly but Tom managed this really well. Thank you all!🌟”

  “We needed a pub that served food. The Royal Crown did not disappoint. We were able to snag comfy seats by the window. The calamari was fresh and had a nice sauce and a few pomegranate seeds for garnish. We had to order two as the portion was small for 3 hungry-ish people.”

  “Proper English pub situated at the entrance of Rochester. Nicely decorated. Excellent service 👍& clean toilet! Didn't get a chance to eat this time around ..but the food looks yummy 😋 so we 'll have to come back. There's an outdoor seating area A must if you are in town doing some sightseeing.”

  “Great dog friendly pub, dogs are not allowed in the resteraunt and you can not book a table in the bar to eat which is a shame, but they were very accommodating allowing 4 of us and our dog to eat restaurant food in the bar, even though they were incredibly busy. The food was excellent particularly the muscles. Great pub in Rochester well worth a visit.”

  “Love this pub! Second time I’ve had Sunday lunch here and the food is unreal. Generous portions and everything tasting so nice. Bought my mum and dad here today and they were really impressed too. It’s a comfortable, cosy pub to sit and chill in on a Sunday and the staff are friendly and really look after you too. Already looking forward to coming back again and trying other dishes on the menu on a different evening as I’ve had drinks in here previously and the cocktails are great as well”
