Quick info
About The Cricketers
The Cricketers is a pub in Rickmansworth that overlooks the green in Sarratt village, with its address on The Green. The menu changes with the seasons, and the Sunday roast arrives as a mixed plate of pork belly and porchetta. A wild boar pasty is also on the menu, and a triple chocolate brownie covers dessert. The kitchen sources ingredients locally wherever possible. The bar area has a fire, and people stop in for just a drink or sit down to eat there. Tables have plenty of space between them. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is the main draw at The Cricketers, with reviewers praising the pork belly, the mixed roast with tender herby porchetta, and roast beef served pink, plus vegetables cooked just right. Close behind are the seasonal dishes, including the lamb shoulder, parsnip and pear soup, steak, ale and mushroom pie, duck and mango salad and king prawn linguine. The triple chocolate brownie gets a mention as very rich. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, with one reviewer noting they double-checked an unusual food allergy without fuss, and another saying a table was found without a booking. Dogs and children are described as welcome. The main complaint comes from one group of five who found the food a let down, calling most dishes bland, overcooked or tough, though the wild boar pasty and fish and chips stood out. One reviewer found the mixed roast on the expensive side, and a small jug of gravy was topped up straight away when more was asked for.

“Great roast, pork belly is fab. A little on the more expensive side at £27 for the mixed but worth it. Triple chocolate brownie is on the best I’ve ever had! Very rich.”

“Had a super meal here. Lovely staff and a great British pub. There is a bar area where we have had just a drink on an earlier visit, after a walk. The food was impressive, my duck and mango salad great, I would have it again, wonderful flavours. The king prawn linguine was also excellent. We will be back.”
