Customer Review Summary
Hot, fresh food is what reviewers mention most, with an enormous fish and chips and a mixed grill that one diner orders on every visit leading the named dishes. A steak cooked perfectly also earns praise, though the same reviewer found the mushrooms a bit unseasoned. Portions are called very good, and several say plates arrived quickly even when large tables were dining at once. Staff come close behind, described as friendly, helpful and welcoming, with one reviewer singling out the lady at the counter and another praising a host who made a New Year's Eve memorable. The one recurring snag is attention at the bar: a visitor had to go up a couple of times to get served and noted only two staff covering the bar and restaurant area on a busy day. Walk-ins are a recurring theme. Diners who had not booked say the manager found them a table, and a group of 22 netballers and parents was fitted in with only a few hours notice.

“This is exactly how a restaurant should be run. We hadn’t booked, but were welcomed in and seated. Every member of staff was friendly and always happy to help. Despite how busy it was, with several large tables dining at the same time, they all served with a smile on their face. The food was excellent and arrived quickly, even with the restaurant being so busy. I couldn’t fault anything.”
