Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the atmosphere, which several call great, alongside cheap pints, cheap wine and good ales. The large roof terrace is mentioned repeatedly, and one breakfast visit was a pleasant surprise. Ordering through the app brings food quickly for some, though one diner found most burgers out of stock and settled for a chicken burger. Others describe slow delivery from the kitchen, too few staff and tables left uncleared. Food complaints are specific. A spicy chicken dish arrived dried out with little chicken, and a chef said it comes prepackaged and is microwaved. A curry came with stale poppadoms and naan, cold rice and little flavour. A breakfast muffin was burnt and dry, and the drink never arrived. Busy Friday and Saturday evenings are described as packed and very loud, and one reviewer walked out over the missing drink rather than complain.

“Typical Wetherspoons pub. Good food great atmosphere and cheap wine and beer. What's not to like. Our pub brand of choice now we have retired, and if you look carefully you will find them everywhere.”

“Called in today for breakfast and what a pleasant surprise it was. We’ve been to several and this one had such a great atmosphere and feel about it. Great food, prices and location. The roof terrace was a nice surprise too.”

“Great for an impromptu meal. Excellent prices on a pint. Chilled, albeit sometimes noisy atmosphere. Quick service.”

“Went at 6pm for Friday tea and the place was rammed. We managed to find a table. So many people. Very loud. Ten thousand people using-cutlery-at-the-same-time loud and the level of noise encouraged people to talk very loudly. If we hadn’t used the phone app to order, I don’t think we would’ve been served as it was just so busy. I only went because the people I was with had a budget they wanted to stick to. The food was no more than average. My friend who took photographs of all the other pubs we went to didn’t take any here You get what you pay for. I know it’s a popular place. This is just my opinion.”

“The food here is quite good but the service is slow. There didn’t appear to be enough staff delivering the meals from the kitchen. The atmosphere is quite good but the room is starting to feel a bit shabby. Tables needed to be cleared and cleaned and food was on the floor. It had obviously been busy prior to my visit or not enough staff to clean things.”
