Customer Review Summary
Sunday lunch is the main draw at The Sandpiper, with reviewers singling out the lamb, beef and turkey, and one noting the extra sides are a bargain. A daughter who orders the turkey reportedly never leaves anything on the plate. Close behind, the duck breast and pork belly earn praise, along with the pâté and pig cheek starters, and a mini pudding with hot drinks suits anyone already full. Nearly every reviewer comments on friendly, attentive servers and a kitchen they thank by role, and a Christmas Day dinner is described as festive and well organised. A last-minute booking for a large party was accepted swiftly. The one critical account comes from a family who say a child's pizza arrived as a single slice after a long delay and two reminders to staff, and that the final bill came out far above what they expected from the two-course deal, though they call the staff lovely. They also mention the entrance floor tiles needing a deep clean. Several reviewers say they plan to return, and one makes the trip from an hour away for the roast.

“We placed a last minute booking for a party of 10 and its was swiftly accepted. On arrival the staff were happy and pleasant to deal with, Amelia who was our waitress for the evening was superb and nothing was too much trouble for her. Thankyou to the chefs Amy and Keiren too, the food was delicious, every one of us was delighted with our choice. We will definitely be back!”

“What a lovely place. Building is beautiful inside. Been about 5 or 6 times now but it's an hour away so usually just go for Sunday lunch. It's well worth it. The meat (beef, turkey or lamb rump) are all excellent and the veg is nice too. The 3 extra sides for a tenner are a bargain too. I'm not saying it's as good as my homecooked Sunday roast 😂 but it's about the best I've had outside home. Beer's always been good too. They have a dog friendly area as well. You can book either online really easily. Don't forget to download the app and use the loyalty!”
