  “Wow what a disappointment! Visited yesterday as read great reviews. It was very cramped inside, quite loud and not the greatest atmosphere. Food was expensive and not good. See attached pictures of the starters. We ordered Turkish Feta Salad, described on the menu comes with cucumber and also tomatoes, in addition to a special pomegranate sauce. As you can see there was no tomatoes, no cucumber, no sauce on it and a think about 5 small pieces of feta. Small bowl of green leaves mainly for £7.90. Also says on the menu the cold meze comes with warm Turkish bread, it didn't there was no bread served with the Turkish Feta Salad. The garlic mushrooms were greasy and oily. After 2 minutes of the starters being served, the host apoglised and said they had messed up in relation to that our mains were ready now as well. So had our main courses with our starters, mains were okay, however came with two small pieces of bread and wasn't that tasty. The red wine was okay, no choice of wine either, Red, White or Rosa. At £27 for the bottle it was average. Never asked how the food was, no offer if we wanted any more drinks and no offer if we wanted any desserts. Table behind us we noticed had waited for over an hour with no sight of food, it seemed like there order had been missed. Our bill came to about £78, I left no tip as would be lying if I would say was worth the money. Would we visit again? No, we wouldn't recommend it and would say avoid. Other restaurants to choose from and cannot understand all the positive reviews based on our experience.”

  “Visited here as part of a work trip and it was such lovely food! Had the calamari to start, which was done perfectly! Followed by the Chicken Shish, which was full of flavour, and accompanied by rice, bread and salad! The plates are beautiful and sell traditional Turkish beer in quirky bottles! Staff were very attentive, friendly and liked to crack a joke which made for a nice relaxed atmosphere! Small inside so essential to book, it was busy even on a weeknight!”

  “A very special place in a lovely part of Leicestershire. They serve great tasting food very quickly. The staff are some of the most efficient I've experienced and can't do enough for you. Id recommend this to anyone.”

  “So impressed. This was by far some of the best food we’ve ever had. The meats were incredibly juicy, the mezze was full of flavour, and the bread was delicious. The staff were brilliant too. I just wish we lived closer, as we would definitely be regulars.”

  “Our daughter recommended Istanbul for food as she’d been there a little while ago. We ate outside in their court yard as the weather was so nice. We’ve been to Turkey a couple of time and it bought back all the feelings of being on holiday there. With the Turkish music playing,the festoon lighting, the exceptional service and friendly welcome you receive but also the amazing food you will definitely want to go back. We certainly will”

  “We had an excellent dinner for two at Istanbul BBQ Kitchen. From the street you can only see the takeaway shop which is where we thought we would be seated but turns out they have a lovely two level dining room with a nice intimate atmosphere (see pictures). Ibrahim was the waiter who served us and he was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and suggesting a lovely special dish with some accompanied sides. We will definitely be back!”
