“Absolutely stunning! Myself and my friend hadn't been here for many many years! Poachers was the last time about 15 years ago! We went on Friday as a curiosity visit and we're not at all disappointed! Not overly hungry so just had the Camembert to share with chips and salad. Was incredible! Service was second to none, young waiting staff smart, eloquent and attentive. Front of house gentleman was on point as was the bar manager. I don't understand the "was a noisy venue" negative posts as two chefs with many hospitality years experience combined we are the most critical. Bravo Geey Gosling we will certainly return and have already made several recommendations to friends!”

“Our first time dining at The Grey Gosling and it was nothing but an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The arancini was, without question, was by far the best we’ve ever tasted—perfectly crisp on the outside, light and creamy on the inside, and finished with a generous shaving of parmesan that elevated every bite. The chicken schnitzel was beautifully cooked with a golden, crispy coating, served alongside perfectly cooked chips and fresh crunchy Caesar salad which was divine. It’s been nearly 20 years since I’ve been able to eat a Caesar salad due to a severe fish allergy, as it usually has anchovies in the dressing. I was so thankful of being able to eat this, to be informed the chef makes the sauce without the anchovies so it can be enjoyed for people with fish allergies! The pork belly was equally outstanding, with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, perfectly crisp crackling, and thoughtfully paired sides that complemented the dish beautifully. Every plate was presented with incredible attention to detail and packed with flavour. The quality of the ingredients, the execution, and the service were all outstanding. This is Michelin-star standard in my opinion, and a restaurant I'll be recommending to everyone. I can't wait to return. Thank you all to the team at the Gosling!”

“This is a beautiful pub nestled within a quaint pretty village and positioned next to the village Church. The building is olde world but inside a very contemporary feel which is bright and airy. The table service is very attentive. There is plenty of choice on the menu, we went on a Tuesday evening and it was Italian themed. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, making you eat slowly to savour the flavours. It is advisable to book ahead as it is very popular. At the rear is a reasonably sized car park with the odd deep pothole to be mindful of. There is also outside seating at the front of the pub overlooking the pretty Church and churchyard. There is also outside dining to the rear within an enclosed courtyard. If it is very busy, the noise level can be high due to the openness and raised ceilings.”

“I wish there were more than 5 stars available for the food here! Absolutely exceptional. Saturday lunch out and oh my was it good! The steak was very good, the pork was incredible and the rhubarb dessert was magnificent! Quite possibly the best dessert I've ever eaten in my life! Seriously, it was THAT good! Lovely staff, nice welcoming place, plenty parking, clean and stylish with very fair prices for world class fine fayre. Could not be happier! Highly recommend 👌”
