“Your fish was extremely dry and tasteless. There was hardly any fish under the over cooked batter. The fish was also stringy and hard around the edges. We have just been to collect our dinner, 2 cod, chips and peas 10.06.26. Award winning? Hardly! And a massive disappointment! We won't be back!”

“The owner is extremely rude. I recently shared some feedback on his pricing and he got really angry and lost his temper. Since then he has totally ignored me when I have returned to the shop despite me spending around £40-£50 per week. This evening he served me for the first time since our discussion and his behaviour was so rude and immature. He made me feel belittled and upset. I have been reading other reviews and I'm not the first person to find him rude. The other staff are lovely and always friendly which is the only reason I returned after the bad experience with the owner. This evening was just to much to tolerate and I will never step foot in the shop again.”

“I had a great experience at this fish and chip shop. The boss is genuinely friendly and clearly cares about both the customers and the quality of the food and clearly takes pride in running the place, which really shows. The staff are welcoming, polite, and quick to help, making the whole visit easy and enjoyable. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked, the chips were crispy and full of flavour, and the portions were generous. I would definitely recommend for a fish and chip shop.”

“The owner is extremely rude and is not interested in resolving any issues when your order is wrong or you are not happy to pay top price in Hinckley for reheated food. I will never set foot in that shop again.”

“First and last time going to this place . Had to pick from either having chips or salad with my kebab I couldn’t have both . In the end got about 6 chips because they filled up the pitta with meat so there was no space for chips. The chippy in Burbage is 10 times better avoid this place .”
