Customer Review Summary

Friendly staff are the most repeated praise, with one server turning the music down and speaking kindly to an overwhelmed elderly guest, and others describing food that arrives quickly. Opinions on the food are more mixed. Reviewers single out a chicken club sandwich with tender chicken and a generous portion, toasties such as bacon and cheese and brisket mozzarella, tasty avocado toast, and an English breakfast whose bacon and sausage one first-time visitor preferred to any before. Vegetarian and vegan choices also earn a mention. The complaints are specific. One breakfast eaten outside arrived with cold bacon, sausage, egg and beans, and only the hash browns were warm. Churros were very white and gooey inside, and one reviewer found the coffee too bitter. A few dislike ordering by QR code at the table rather than having table service, and one party was told to sit anywhere despite a sign asking them to wait to be seated. Reviewers also note being able to bring dogs in, and one Mother's Day table was laid with red petals and a handwritten card.

“The place overall is really nice, both seating area and decor gives it a nice ambience. It’s also not that noisy. I’m not a fan of the “order online” feature and would rather have table service like a normal place, but this doesn’t affect the experience, those few interactions with the staff were nice. What disappointed me was the churros I ordered were not cooked enough, I have never seen churros as white as these ones with the gooey taste inside.”

“Great place that even though a chain feels more like an independent cafe/restaurant - love the style! Staff went above and beyond to get me a table quickly even though it was very busy and they were run off their feet as I was with an elderly friend who was feeling a bit overwhelmed & confused. (Alzheimer’s 😢) Our young male server even turned the music down & spoke to her so kindly, helped me by taking my order at the table as I was having an issue with my phone xx Food was delicious & we both enjoyed our visit xx I’ve been to Lounges all over the country & I don’t know who is doing the hiring but I can’t praise your staff enough 10/10 Sorry I didn’t catch his name x”

“I absolutely adore coming here. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Staff wonderful, food excellent, staff first class and food arrives quickly. If there is a problem, it is quickly quickly. During day day there are lots of young mothers with children. If this i not your scene, visit later in the day.”

“First time eating English breakfast in the UK. Bacon and sausage are better than the ones I've had before. Tried black pudding for the first time. Not my favorite tho... They also have burgers, Asian food etc, not only British food. Looks like they have a great selection of drinks. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Seats are comfy. One of the most clean restaurant I've been to in the UK. You can order either from the bar or at your table by a QR code.”

“Paid around £20 solo Server was nice and polite. Food however was a huge disappointment! Ordered the breakfast… Yes I sat outside on a quite windy day however the fried egg should still be hot at minimum but no. Bacon sausage egg and beans were cold… hash browns being the only items warm… sausage tasted as if it was cooked an hour ago and left…. I will try this place again but will sit inside to see if the food stays hot.. will also update this review!”
