Quick info
About The Refinery West Bridgford
The Refinery West Bridgford is a cafe, bar and restaurant at 100 Melton Rd in Nottingham, open daily from breakfast onward. The morning menu includes Eggs Refinery, which pairs poached eggs with steak, and breakfast is also served at weekends. Lunch brings sweetcorn and courgette fritters, and truffle gnocchi appears on the dinner menu. The kitchen lists plenty of non-meat options, so vegetarians have a real choice across the day. The bar pours wine and mixes cocktails. On Wednesdays, a tapas and wine tasting pairs a set menu with the wine, which gives the evening a fixed format for anyone who wants to sample several glasses with their food. Some evenings end with a singer and guitarist playing live.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints centre on the kitchen's consistency. One lunch diner found the salad tasted off, with overcooked cauliflower and stale coleslaw, and the replacement of poached eggs and avocado on toast had slimy avocado. Another found the food not tasty enough for the higher price. At the tasting, the n'duja ravioli was far too spicy and the paella needed more flavour. A regular left early after a Liverpool match played loudly on a customer's iPad in the bar. One evening featured a singer and guitarist with a beautiful voice.

“Visited here on 18/06/2026 for a Thursday evening dinner. Wowee! Had the truffle gnocchi and it blew my socks off. I was served by a charming waitress who was so friendly and really made my experience amazing. I’ll definitely be back for more gnocchi yum yum yum !!”

“Really lovely food, attentive staff, and nice atmosphere. When we went this time there was a singer/guitarist playing (Georgie), and she had the most beautiful voice, so we had a really enjoyable evening.”

“We’re regular visitors to The Refinery and have always enjoyed the excellent wine selection and great food. However, we were quite surprised this evening when we came in for drinks and found a Liverpool match being played at full volume on a customer’s iPad. To make matters worse, they even stepped outside for a smoke and left it playing in the bar. As a Liverpool fan myself, I can appreciate the enthusiasm, but it really took away from the usual atmosphere. If we’d wanted to watch the game, we would have gone to a sports bar. Unfortunately, it meant we chose not to stay for another drink or food.”

“My husband and I live a five minute walk away so sometimes we go for lunch together. It is very well priced, really good quality and the food is delicious. Lots of non meat options, the sweetcorn and courgette fritters were wonderful. Just enough for lunch with the extra crispy chips between us and he had a beer on a day off. We always feel well treated and on a Friday it is very full. This is our favourite place to go to treat ourselves.”

I don’t know what there doing back there but I recon it’s a portal to flavor town! I literally got hipmotised by ONE bite! I had a hot chocolate and that was a volcano (littraly) of flavor!!! The waiters are enthusiastic professional and very kind. Came to ask me how the food was TWO times! Come here NOW!! I recommend it.
