About The coffee shop
On Tamworth Rd in Sawley, The coffee shop is a daytime coffee shop serving breakfast, snacks, and cakes alongside its drinks menu. Scrambled eggs feature among the savoury options, and the cold drinks list includes iced coffees and a Biscoff cookie and strawberry milkshake. On Sundays the kitchen puts on a roast, giving the shop a reason to draw in more than the usual coffee crowd. Service runs on a walk-in basis, with no booking needed. The entrance is step-free, making it workable for visitors with mobility needs, and dogs are welcome inside. It opens daily except Wednesdays, and operates daytime hours only.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is what reviewers mention most, with several diners describing it as tasty, home cooked and generous in portion, including one who went on their own and could not fault it. Breakfast comes close behind, with scrambled eggs called very nice and the coffee called excellent by one reviewer and the nicest they had had in a long time by another. Cakes, a Biscoff cookie, a strawberry milkshake and iced coffees also earn praise, and one reviewer calls the cakes beautiful. Many reviewers describe the welcome as warm and friendly, saying the owner makes them feel part of the community, and one parent says the owner is always accommodating to them and their two year old. Several call the prices reasonable, and one mentions a miserable cold day when the cafe felt lovely and warm. No recurring complaints appear. One reviewer, on a train delayed by an hour, stopped in for a coffee and ended up ordering a cake as well.

“My train was delayed by an hour and found this little gem! Was greeted by a lady I believe was called Kelly very warm welcome. I was only going to stop for a coffee but decided to have a cake too. Nicest coffee I’ve had in a very long time and I’ve tried near enough every well known coffee shop! Will definitely be returning next time I’m around.”

“We love this new little cafe. We come here a lot with our 2 year old and the owner is always beyond accommodating to the three of us. The coffee and food is great! Highly recommend.”
