  “I always come to this cafe after I complete my summative exams/when I return to Nottingham for university. At first I felt as if I had accidentally walked into someone’s home because the environment is so relaxed and atmospheric. Kind of like an intruder in a sense, (?) which was intimidating at first but I got used to it because of how good the products are. The quality of the desserts are amazing and fulfilling, not leaving you with a headache from too much sweetness. I usually get the matcha because I know the quality will be the best. Honestly, the best in Nottingham (in my opinion). But the coffee is equally as good, it doesn’t taste acidic or have a bad aftertaste. I enjoy the attentiveness to detail put into each order and it makes the experience even better. I like rewarding myself with a trip here after putting in the work studying etc.”

  “They put great care into the drinks and they were delicious! The matcha was incredible and the latte art is great. The inside is small and didn’t feel like a place to hang out for a long time but we had a wonderful morning together and the owner was sweet and thoughtful.”

  “They’re doing coffee science in there. The most complex flavored nitro I’ve ever had. Cool glassware. And the slices of cake give it a secret kissaten Japan vibe. Well done. Go support them so that they’re still here if/when I ever find my way back to Nottingham.”

  “Awesome coffee shop. More of a bar style with seats at the front so you can watch them make food and drinks. I tried both a milk drink and filter, both were made perfectly and were full of flavour. The owner is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about coffee which shines through.”

  “The café has an understated vibe with a dark toned interior, featuring various coffee machines and roasting equipment. The space isn’t big, but it’s cozy and comfortable, a great spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee. [Orange 3 Layers Cake] Refreshing orange flavor with distinct layers. The top jelly wasn’t overly gelatinous and had a nice hint of yuzu. The sponge cake was soft and fluffy! [Distill Milk Dirty] Hot espresso meets cold milk, a pleasant surprise. The espresso had a slight bitterness but was light and smooth, while the cold milk added depth. Great balance and texture. A memorable cup that shows their pour over coffee game is strong. [Matcha Latte] Visually appealing and beautifully presented. Made with high quality matcha, the taste was nicely balanced between bitterness and creaminess. [Matcha Basque Cheesecake] One of their signature desserts, rich matcha flavor without being too bitter. The cheesecake was creamy, smooth, and melted in the mouth. Not too heavy, even if you eat the whole slice by yourself. High quality and definitely recommended!”

Coffee lovers who like quality coffee should not miss it. The shop provides two choices: espresso and hand-poured coffee. It is especially recommended to choose hand-poured coffee. They provide many different flavors, such as the aroma of lychee. The rich fruity taste in the mouth will definitely make you unforgettable. Finally, the coffee equipment used in the shop is of a very high-end level. You will hardly see it in ordinary coffee shops.”

  “The matcha latte was so yummy and tasted authentic. Only thing for me was the temp, It wasn’t hot enough for me personally. The matcha basque cheesecake was divine! So light and smooth. Would come again!”

  “Not a big fan of matcha but the matcha cheesecake was soo delicious, I also loved the design on the coffee. Chill atmosphere for a quick catch up with friend + you get to watch how your drinks are made, however the downside is that there are limited seating.”
