Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what reviewers mention most at this university campus cafe, with one praising an excellent cappuccino from the 200degree coffee, and others calling the coffee nice or great. Close behind are cake, scones and tea, plus soup and a homemade pork pie that one reviewer called lovely, who hopes more volunteers will allow lunch to run on more days. Its position beside the galleries and exhibitions, near a pond with a fountain, comes up often, and reviewers describe it as quiet, spacious and pleasant, with friendly, welcoming staff. Two compare it favourably with the main Lakeside cafe. Complaints are few but specific. One regular says the switch to disposable single use cups, plates and cutlery made visits much less pleasurable and questions the university's sustainability pledges. Another found the food over fussed, and neither child liked it, while noting the cafe was not busy and tables could have been cleared and cleaned. One reviewer closes on a free exhibition on Boots the chemist's through the years, which sits alongside a shop of artisanal gifts.

“The Gallery Cafe on the University Campus - is a quiet contemplative place, with friendly staff, and reasonable prices for Coffee, and cold drinks. It is quieter than the main "Lakeside" cafe - which was refurbished last year (2023). It has local Nottingham Archaeology pieces, a shop, with very artisanal gifts, and a free exhibition on "Boots the chemist's" through the years exhibition..... Excellent for a visit , by both families & grandparents, etc...!!”

“I'm a bit of a coffee nerd so I don't usually have it when I am out and about but I saw that they do 200degree coffee so gave then a try. Polite and friendly service and an excellent cappuccino! I will be back :)”

“We've found it a handy, quiet and pleasant place for tea and scone etc, next to galleries and a pond with fountain, at the south entrance to the university”
