About Chaa Biskut Nottingham
Chaa Biskut Nottingham is a cafe in Nottingham at 51 Lower Parliament St, serving Indian street food alongside desi fish and chips. The menu also includes butter chicken, so one kitchen covers both street snacks and a main-course curry. On the drinks side, chai comes in several styles, including Elaichi chaa, and the cafe also makes desserts and matcha for those who want something other than tea. Dishes are made fresh after ordering, so food takes a while to reach the table.

Customer Review Summary
Desi fish and chips is the dish reviewers name most, praised for good flavours and a generous portion, though one diner found the batter slightly undercooked and wet inside. Close behind are the toasted paneer wrap, the aloo tikki chaat, the keema and egg with buns, and chilli paneer. The chai, including the elaichi chaa, is described as having real flavour, and one reviewer recommends the Strawberry Dream Mocktail. Portions are called big and good value, and the flavours remind some diners of home cooking. The recurring caveat is the wait. Several say food takes a while because it is freshly made, though they did not mind, and a regular notes a queue to be seated at peak times. One reviewer felt the karai chicken had few chicken pieces, filled mostly with pepper and onion. Staff are called friendly and welcoming, and on a hot day one waiter adjusted the air cooler and music and brought ice and water.

“It was our first time at Chaa Biscut and wow, we were impressed with not just the aesthetics but the food spoke for itself. We were warmly greeted by the staff, our food arrived in good time and was served hot. A pleasant and calming experience. The place surely give elevated desi vibes with a modern touch! I would highly recommend Chaa Biscut”

“Amazing food, nice staff! Sadly the cutlery/glasses/dining area are quite dirty. I had build up grease on my glass and instead of an apology and a clean glass I was offered a plastic cup. Nevertheless, super nice pasta.”

“Ordered the paneer wrap which genuinely blew my mind. It was amazing flavours with a hint of spice. Toasted the wrap alongside which also added a nice crunch to it. Partner ordered the desi fish and chips which also had good flavours but felt that the batter was slightly undercooked so was a bit wet inside. Food took a while but didn’t mind the wait. Drinks were also so good as well! Definitely recommend the Strawberry Dream Mocktail”

“Food was 10/10. Had desi fish and chips and side portion of chilli paneer between two of us and was more than enough we wish we just had the fish and chips now, so portions are great for £22.90. The service from the lady was fantastic as well. We will definitely be returning to try other times on the menu. I hope the Birmingham branch lives up to the same standard as we will visit that one as well. Music was nice also, not boring. Weirdly also liked the cutlery.”
