Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split on this University Park campus cafe, and the hot food served canteen style is the most common talking point. Fans describe a proper hot meal with a few options that change daily, and one praises freshly prepared french fries with cheese. Others call the food inedible or the worst on campus, and one says a cheese baguette was nearly all bread with little filling. Another reviewer found the hot chocolate made with hot water rather than milk. Cost is a recurring complaint: one says chips now cost extra with the main meal, another says shelf items are overpriced, and a third expected a student cafe to be cheaper. Slow service and crowding at peak breakfast and lunch hours also come up. On the plus side, reviewers mention plenty of seating, a warm room, and convenience for students. One reviewer contrasts the plastic cutlery and styrofoam here with real plates and forks at Cripps Hall.

“Love this place! The food is probably the best you'll find in uni park campus if you want a proper hot meal. They usually have a few options and it's different everyday. A few options for hot drinks too and they have pre cooked things and snacks if you're looking for those! Plus the place is always warmmmm! It is usually a lil crowded during peak breakfast and lunch hours. the timings:- Breakfast ends at 10:30am and Lunch starts at 11:30am. hope that helps ✌️🧋🧁😇”

“Nice enough cafe, though the hot chocolate was made with hot water and not milk, which is generally my preferred. Plenty of seating available which is a rare find on campus.”

“Not sure who the supplier is for their sandwiches but it’s 99% bread & 1% fillings! Had a baguette that was “cheese” and honestly the bread was so claggy I thought I was eating a loofah. Never again.”

“Inedible food served in styrofoam. Yuck! Plastic cutlery, what an insult to sustainablity and the oceans. For the same price, you can enjoy a much better meal at Cripps Hall. Real plates, real forks and a beautiful hall like Hogwarts. The food there is ace!”

“I'd say it's a good place for a cup of coffee, but the food is literally the worst I've experienced across the campus... except for it being convenient as a student from labs in L2. I'm a PhD student working here for 3 years... I really hope they improve the food quality someday because... It's just sad. Like come on you will make profit by selling good food in such a nice location.”
