Quick info
About Wollaton Pub & Kitchen
Wollaton Pub & Kitchen is a pub in Nottingham on Lambourne Dr, open daily. Sport is shown on televisions in a vintage-style setting, so the bar works for watching a match over a meal. The kitchen reworks traditional British-style pub dishes, and the Sunday roast comes with Yorkshire pudding. Chef's specials appear on the menu regularly, giving regulars something beyond the standard list. The drinks selection covers pale ales, stouts and lagers, along with non-alcoholic beers and soft drinks for anyone skipping alcohol.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing a friendly, welcoming and attentive team that looked after tables, families and large groups. The food comes close behind, led by the chef's special of lamb with mille-feuille potatoes, tenderstem broccoli and gravy. Diners also name the butternut squash soup, the pork belly with perfect crackling, and the Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding. Others mention pizzas, large portions, gluten free options and a varied menu. Drinkers praise the pale ales, stouts, lagers and non alcoholic beers, and the beer garden and the big screens showing the World Cup earn mentions too. One reviewer finds the kitchen sometimes hit or miss, saying it seems to try too hard to be fine dining when simple pub food made well would do, though even the misses are called not bad. A group booking with pre-ordered meals ran without issues, and when one family had a problem with their desserts, the waiter looked after them.

“Booked a large table for a work colleague's leaving do, the team were so helpful from booking ensuring we were able to prebook our meals. When we arrived they checked the orders and our meals were cooked beautifully - with no issues at all! Even when I'd forgotten an order they added it on quickly and got it out to us within 10 minutes. We all had a really great time and enjoyed ourselves, thanks so much!”

“We had a lovely evening meal, served by Nancy. Food was delicious and Nancy was lovely and accommodating. The crackling on the pork belly was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant.”

“It's a great pub with a fantastic selection of pales ales, 2 stouts, lagers and non alcoholic beers and soft drinks. The food ranges from classic pub grub to a roast on Sunday's. They often have chef's specials which are usually very nice. The food can sometimes be a little hit or miss as it seems like they are sometimes trying a little too hard to be fine dinning. However, even the misses are not bad, theyre just not the best options on the menu I'd definitely recommend this place for a good, nice and easy chill pint with good pub food. The only reason it's not a five is that they try too hard with the food, often simple is better. Good produce, fresh ingredients. Simple stuff made well is never bad. The pizzas are good and it's kid friendly. The beer garden is unbeaten in the sun Dogs are often in the beer garden and are allowed inside (please check official website!) They serve coffee”
