Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the chips, with several calling them the best in Norwich and pointing to the Monday loaded chips as especially tasty, generous and reasonably priced. Fish earns close behind praise, with one diner describing a crispy batter and delicious fish, and another rating the plaice and a jumbo sausage excellent. Several note everything is cooked in beef dripping, and the staff are described as quick, smiling and joking with customers even through a long Friday queue. The recurring complaint is portion size: three reviewers say their large chips looked like a small or regular, and one of them later returned and found the cod bites generous. One parent describes a bag of reheated, dry chips that went in the bin, and another says fish now costs over ten pounds and should be freshly cooked rather than sitting, adding that staff needed more training. One reviewer says they were told they could pre-order the Monday loaded chips.

“Fish is so expensive now it needs to be freshly cooked. I would rather wait than have to pay over £10 for a piece that may have been sitting there for some time. Possibly new staff but some serious training needed.”

“Food is as good as always, but the portions are getting smaller. My large chips were the size of a regular.”

“Just moved to this part of Norwich so checked the reviews and decided to give it a try. What can I say? The best fish and chips I’ve had in years. Fish batter was lovely and crispy and the fish was delicious. Chips were enough for a family of four! Will definitely be visiting again.”
