  “My recent visit to Thorpe Fish Bar was a genuinely pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the proprietors, Suk Yee and Eamon, whose friendly manner immediately set a positive tone. I opted for chips with a steak and kidney pie, accompanied by a Pepsi Max. The food was satisfying and well prepared—the chips were crisp and hearty, and the pie was rich and comforting, exactly what you’d hope for from a classic choice like this. One thing to note is that the establishment does not accept credit or debit cards, which may catch some customers who miss the displayed notice off guard. However, this was handled thoughtfully, as Suk Yee kindly allowed me to pay via bank transfer, which was both convenient and appreciated. Overall, the combination of warm hospitality and good food made for an enjoyable visit. I’d happily return and would recommend Thorpe Fish Bar to anyone looking for a friendly, no-frills, traditional fish and chips eatery.”

  “Mega busy Chippy but everything ran like clockwork and was well organised, we didn't have to wait too long. Food was hot and portion sizes were very good. The chips needed more seasoning and I think that they were a bit tight on the salt and vinegar but overall it was very good.”

  “One of the very few fish and chips open tonight 03.01.2022! Slightly pricier than others but worth it. Very efficient and quick service. Lots of customers coming to collect telephone orders - always a good sign. Cod was very fresh and not over cooked. Chips were slightly over cooked. Would return if I was in the area. Daughter had chicken nuggets (x8) which were freshly cooked.”
