  “Such a disappointment, rude staff and overpriced tasteless food - no management. My best friend and i came here for our 21st birthday after being told how nice it was. We arrived at 7.30. The first drinks took a while to come and after asking where they were she said that the bar was slammed, it wasn’t overly busy and there was rarely anyone at the bar making drinks. We ordered food at 8 before even receiving the first drinks, we ordered two small plates, two mains and a couple of sides. our small plates arrived at 8.30, the chicken wings were okay but seriously not worth the money and the calamari was stringy and tasteless, small portions too - also not worth the money. We asked a few times about where our main food plates were and where the drinks were, but we didn’t want to seem too pushy, i’ve worked in hospitality before and i know it can be stressful and difficult customers don’t help. I had gone up to the bar to order two drinks with cash and ended up getting those at the end of the night - 9.40. We went up to the bar several times to ask about our food after asking one waiter if he could see where our food was, he said he’d check where our food was and then never came back to us or asked the chefs where it was, but waiters were happily serving other couples plus a couple of large tables that at one point had two waiters serving them - plus i overheard that one of them had just changed her mind about what she wanted for food and that was accommodated for. Eventually, we got an answer from the bartender at 9.30 that our food was made but somehow claimed by somebody else? I noticed the chefs staring and smirking while this conversation was happening too. We had been patient for 2 and a half hours. The bartender john was helpful and apologetic, offered us two drinks on the house and then ended up removing the bill entirely because of how we had been treated, he was the only one who listened to us. We were happy with this outcome and everything seemed to be resolved until i was at the bar finishing my drink, overhearing a small blonde teenage waitress talking to the bartender, telling him that we were “taking the piss” and that “you’ve already given them free drinks”, complaining she had lost out on a £10 tip and implying we should have paid our bill which would have been £126 if we had gotten everything we had actually ordered - she was insanely unprofessional and rude - it’s not our fault you can’t do your job properly. Unfortunately, i didn’t get her name but hopefully the description is enough. I confronted her and asked her if she’d like to include us in the conversation since she was happily talking about us within ear shot and she “apologised” and but would turn her head and smirk? She also laughed at us when we were talking to her. She also completely dismissed me and said she hadn’t said those things as if i wasn’t right by the bar and that would be an incredibly strange thing to lie about especially after we had already resolved the problem. She then went back and forth with us claiming she didn’t say it and then she did say that, she said she only “asked if we were taking the piss”, is that not the same thing as saying we are taking the piss?, and trying to ask what the situation was while putting her two pence in where it wasn’t needed. The bartender walked away and didn’t come to her defence about it and said to us that he didn’t know what that was when we spoke to him again, he knew she was being unprofessional too. She came over a total of two times in 2 and a half hours and didn’t question where our food was or where our drinks were once, why should we have paid for poor service and awful, overpriced food? We ended up leaving at 10.10, 3 hours wasted. Overall a terrible experience, expensive bad food, bad service, weird and snobby atmosphere, rude waitress, cocktails were so sour even the “sweet” ones, food was tasteless, no manager to be seen, probably understaffed by the looks of things. Such a shame and such a waste of time.”

  “The service was ridiculously slow and unorganized. I seen the staff walk around with our drinks and dringing it back to the bar. Thinking it must be for someone else we waited, finally I lost my patience and went to the bar and the guy said yeah yeah its coming then brought the drinks that were sitting on the counter over with ice half melted. I had to call the guy with our food as I could see that he was wandering around asking other tables if this was what they ordered.The staff took so long for the bill to come in addition. The food was fine but I wouldn't go back there.”

  “We had 7 people in our party, and the steaks came out cold aswell as the burger. They took away and them brought same steaks back 2 minute later and was still cold. We asked to speak to manager who was rude and didn’t have any customer service, she bought the chef out who went into a speech about the probe as apposed to apologising. Disgusting service and disgusting food!! Do not go to this venue - it’s run by children who have no customer service experience. Cold food served by rude kids with a huge price tag!!”

  “Got chicken roast £20. There was no cauliflower cheese and potatoes weren't seasoned as stated on menu. Portion size was a bit small. To be fair the roast was delicious. Overall not worth £20, service was good tho.”
