Customer Review Summary

Pancakes come up again and again as the thing to return for, with reviewers praising the berries and sauce on both the standard and vegan versions, and the fry up and shakshuka draw similar enthusiasm as filling breakfast choices. Coffee and tea also earn repeat mentions, from the filter coffee to a lavender oat matcha latte one reviewer tried for the first time. Several note the staff as friendly and attentive even under pressure, with one describing two employees managing a bank holiday rush solo without a wait. The Salmon and Avocado Waffle drew a shrug from one diner as merely standard, and a more detailed complaint describes a breakfast plate overwhelmed by beans, an off-tasting egg, bland black pudding, and a chip-shop-style sausage, with that reviewer saying they would not recommend it based on the food alone. Another visitor flags that only cash is accepted for amounts under ten pounds. Diners frequently mention no wait for tables despite groups cycling through, and dogs are welcomed inside.

“🍳 FOOD: I ordered a shakshuka which was served piping hot and full of flavor. It was super filling and a great option to start the day! My fiancé had the "Salmon & Avocado Waffle" with a side hashbrown. He didn't find it extraordinary but it wasn't bad either-just a standard breakfast plate. I liked my tea and he enjoyed his latte too. 👩🏻‍🍳 SERVICE: It was a bank holiday, so only two staff working both kitchen + front of house...WOW, they deserve their flowers! We didn't have to wait for a table at all, and plenty of groups cycled through in the 1.5hrs we were there. Both staff were super kind and friendly despite what I'm sure was a very stressful day for them! Total came out to £35pp incl. tip, which I found fair for two drinks + two plates. Lots of great shops in the lanes nearby after you're done eating too.”

“A nice and warm place to go for breakfast or lunch. Quiet and chill atmosphere, neatly furnished and good food. The lady who's serving not too happy if you're there just to enjoy a coffee.”

“Staff were lovely and the venue itself was nice but was disappointed with the food. Positives, the bacon and fried bread were decent but other than that I was really underwhelmed. The biggest issue was the beans, the plate was covered with them to the point all the other breakfast items were just stacked on top! Was a comical amount of beans, felt like Moses parting the Red Sea when rearranging my plate just to have a dry area! Didn’t help that the beans had a very odd flavour. The sausage was like a chip shop sausage , which just felt wrong on a brekky. Egg tasted off and the black pudding was bland. For the price I would have expected at least a single hash brown. No complaints at all with the service or the venue itself, but the food was just not up to scratch, would not reccomend.”

“Absolutely adorable cafe!! The food as usual was delicious, I tried the matcha here for the first time and it was amazing. Definitely recommend the lavender oat matcha latte! The cafe allows dogs, which is great too☺️☺️”
