Customer Review Summary

The full English breakfast is what reviewers praise most, with sausages, bacon, mushroom, egg and tomato alongside bread and butter, made from local produce and described as tasty and generous. Close behind are the coffee, called decent and delicious, and a sausage bap. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and welcoming, and one reviewer was welcomed with their dog on a wet day. Others note plenty of locals in the room. The recurring caveat is the look of the place. Two reviewers say it needs renovation, and one calls the decor very dated and says it is not dirty but looks it. That same reviewer finds the portions too big, reports that much food comes back uneaten and is thrown away even when smaller portions are requested, and says the service could be better. They also find the atmosphere clicky and note that locals can nurse a single coffee for hours without being asked to leave the table. One diner who ordered poached eggs on toast received five.
