About Scooters Cafe
On The St in Norwich, Scooters Cafe fills its walls with 50s scooter-themed decor, including Lambretta and Vespa posters and pictures of stars riding scooters. The menu covers all day breakfast alongside scones and toasted teacakes, with gluten free homemade cakes for those needing that option, and coffee, tea, and fruit juice served throughout the day. A covered annex at the back welcomes dogs, giving owners a spot to sit with their pets, and outdoor seating is available for eating outside. High chairs are on hand for families with young children. There is no booking system, so seats are taken on a walk-in basis, and the cafe opens Tuesday to Saturday during the day, staying closed on Mondays and Sundays. The room's scooter memorabilia runs throughout, tying the tables together under a shared theme rather than a single feature piece.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast draws the most praise at this Acle cafe, from the large all day breakfast that one reviewer calls mega-yummy to an omelette with salmon served with lemon and brown or white bread, and a small breakfast made for children. Close behind are the coffee and homemade cakes, including a choice of fresh gluten free cakes, along with a scone and a toasted teacake. Portions are described as huge, and one reviewer says a hungry person still found the omelette a good size. Reviewers repeatedly call the staff friendly and welcoming, and several mention the 50s style decor with Lambretta and Vespa scooter posters that recalls the swinging 60s. The one reservation comes from a reviewer who says it is not the cheapest food around, though they feel they get what they pay for. Several note the dog friendly back room, and one diner says even the sausages cooked for the dogs were lovely.

“Fab food, drinks fruit juice, tea, coffee etc large meals beautifully cooked, large all day breakfast is MEGA-YUMMY! 😋 extensive menu of all yummy things. Dog friendly in the back room. Lovely memories of my days as a MOD with posters of LAMBRETTAS & VESPA SCOOTERS that we rode back in the swinging 60s & glam 70s!! WOW in those days ENGLAND was the best country in the world, it was a swinging fun packed island. Infact vist this oasis a blast from the past! A throwback to the swinging 60s every village should have a SCOOTER CAFE i wish caister had! ♥️”

“Scooters Caffe in Acle is a proper hidden gem! The portions are huge (seriously, you won’t need dinner after this 😂) and everything tastes spot on. The two girls working here are an absolute laugh really friendly and make the place feel so welcoming. You also get a cracking view of the village centre and the famous Acle sign while you tuck in. Well worth stopping by if you’re in the area!”
