Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to generous, well-cooked pub food across breakfast, lunch and dinner. One praises thick cut, moist home cooked ham sandwich, another the hash browns in a full English, and a third a burger and the pie of the day, both with large portions. Fish and chips served outside on a sunny Sunday also gets a mention. Close behind are friendly, quick staff and a pleasant, lively atmosphere with seating inside and out, and several call the value good. A few reviews are cooler: one calls the food standard, nothing special, and notes there is no table service, so drinks and food are ordered at the bar with one person bringing meals out. Another had booked but had to find their own table while staff at the door looked on, and wished someone would greet arrivals. The most memorable detail comes from a late visitor, who was served bowls of chips with bread and butter after the kitchen had closed.

“My husband and our 2 year old daughter came here for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. There are different full English breakfast options available and the hash browns were the best I've had. My daughter can be fussy but she happily ate the sausage, egg, toast and beans she had which is the highest praise. Staff were friendly and checked in on us and food was swift. Definitely would recommend for a relaxing breakfast vibe. Didn't photograph the food because I'd already polished it off!”

“5 star all the way. I would give more if I could. Top quality food. Friendly, efficient staff even when it's really busy. We went there every day for brunch during the Isle of Wight festival. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you for the great service.”

“My husband and I came here for dinner hoping for some tasty, filling meals and couldn't have been happier or more satisfied! There was a great selection (making choosing just one option tricky) with good variety. My husband got a burger off the main menu and I went for the pie of the day. Both portions were very generous, nicely presented and delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant - not busy, but a nice buzz. Staff were friendly, welcoming and were happy to help.”

“Great first time here, food was delicious amazing portions and very good value for money. Service was a little all over the place we had booked a table and had to find it ourselves even though multiple members could see us standing by the door. Would be great if they could have someone at the door greeting. But other than that the food was very very good will definitely be back”
