“We come in on a Saturday for breakfast. Very nicely cooked. Food was good. But thinking staff could have been more friendly breakfast comes with coffee. Not the best coffee.”

“We stayed here for one night and had a lovely experience. It’s a cosy and welcoming little hotel, with a pub on the ground floor and guest rooms upstairs. The location is excellent—just across the street from Osborne House, and with a bus stop right outside, making it very convenient to get around the island. The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, comfortable, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only minor downside is that there may be live performances in the pub. However, on the night we stayed, the music finished between 10 and 11 pm, which was acceptable for us and did not affect our sleep. I couldn’t find a place to leave a review on Booking, so I decided to leave my review here instead. Overall, this is a great place to stay.”

“Dropped in for something to eat & drink after a visit to Osbourne House. Nice pub god menu at reasonable prices. Burnt and swifter service than we would have had at Osborne House. Staff very friendly and attentive. I would go back again.”

“The Prince of Wales Hotel is a very nice hotel with heaps of history. Food is excellent, service excellent, staff very welcoming and ready to help in anyway possible to make your stay perfect. The location couldn’t be better just 15 minute walk from Osbourne House and has a bus stop adjacent.”

“We spent one night here and chose it mostly for location across the street from Osborne House, and bus stops right outside the door. But what we were so pleased with was a nice quiet room. Every member of the staff was very friendly and knew what to do, especially Dean the Chief. It's a place where locals love to hang out, and we know why. This is the best pub food we have ever had. The menu is deep, and almost everything is locally sourced. During our two days there we enjoyed the Gluten-free fish and chips, the steak and mushroom pie was also outstanding. They have a full bar with a great variety of beers on tap including Guinness. Their deserts are what you would hope for in five star restaurants. I don't know if we will get back here again, but we enjoyed it tremendously, and would recommend this to anyone wanting to visit the Isle of Wight.”
